Hello everyone
Most of the population in Thailand is Buddhist. Therefore, there are many temples in each province and there are many beautiful temples as well and measure in each region of Thailand. In terms of architecture, there will be differences because of the culture different way of life, and beliefs of the local people. Today, I will take everyone to pay respects at the Thai Samakkhi Temple, Mae Sot District, Tak Province, which is in the north of Thailand.
The highlight of this temple is the towering golden Buddhagaya Pagoda has been modeled in Bodhgaya, India. Mr. Chak Phakasa donated the land for this temple which was built in 1939. It is a beautiful temple and people come to pay homage and make a wish. This temple is famous for wishing for good fortune. I'm going to take everyone to see inside the temple and see what's interesting. Even if you are not Buddhist, you can visit this temple.
Let's goðš
At the entrance to the temple, there is a large temple sign on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side, you see a building that looks like a small room. And there is the demon who swallows up the Sun and the Moon. Most Thai people believe that Rahu devours the sun or moon, causing a solar eclipse and believe that the demon Rahu is evil.
At this temple, there is a statue of the demon Rahu to make people who believe in this matter come to make merit to drive this evil out of life will bring 9 kinds of black objects to offer.
This is a large Lord Ganesha carved out of wood. I also believe in Ganesha so I bought a garland and fruit as an offering to make a wish.
Buying garlands and fruits for Ganesha is not limited by price. Depending on your faith, you can donate as much as you want.
When worshiping and praying for the blessings of Ganesha I will take everyone for a walk around this temple. Where I stand will see a small miniature waterfall and the golden-yellow Buddhagaya Pagoda.
Walking inside, you will find a towering golden Buddhakaya pagoda. Surrounding the pagoda are many deities protecting them. Along the stairs, there are purple lions and purple fish-like creatures as well on the railing.
It is the towering Buddhakaya Pagoda. But when compared to Wat Bang Tong Krabi Province that my family and I went to make merit last year. Wat Bang Tong is considerably larger but the beauty is no different.
Inside the pagoda, there is a large black Buddha image enshrined in the middle of the room. This Buddha image is called "Buddha has mercy"
After paying homage to the Buddha image and making merit, let's continue walking to see the temple.
This Thai Samakkhi Temple is beautifully decorated no matter where you take photos, it's beautiful.
This is a corridor that is decorated with woven fabrics with beautiful patterns. A large cauldron in Beijing with colorful plants adorned at the base of the pillar. Each pillar is carved with a very beautiful picture of the Buddha's history.
A carpenter with expertise in carving is carving a wooden pillar in the shape of a Buddha image. Each pillar is beautiful and it takes a very long time to complete.

There is also a large Guan Yin statue carved from wood.
Here is the enshrined "Chao Thanjai Rattana Mungmuang". The sculpture of the Buddha image must be completed in one day and the internal organs including a heart made of real silver. Popular people come to pay respect and pray for good fortune.
Some people come to pray and have their wishes come true. Therefore, many of these fruits and eggs were brought to offer to "Chao Thanjai Rattana Mungmuang"
Next to the sanctuary of "Chao Thanjai Rattana Mungmuang" is an ubosot that enshrines a large, golden Buddha image in the posture of the Nativity. The pillar inside the chapel is gold with a peacock pattern. and the dragon wrapped around the pillar was very beautiful.

This is a pavilion with a roof made of a silver metal similar to with Sri Suphan Temple in Chiang Mai which I posted last week. In front, there are 4 large giant statues on each side and 1 angel on each side standing guarding the entrance.
Inside the pavilion, the ceiling is decorated with colorful paper umbrellas. There is a large green King of Nagas statue enshrined in the middle of the pond. Some people come to pray and toss a fortune coin at the Naga pond I also toss the coin and guess until the coin runs out of my wallet, haha.
The temple area is beautifully decorated to attract the public's interest in entering the temple. In addition to making merit, but also take beautiful photos as well.
After praying for blessings for the prosperity of life we walked out to the parking lot which is outside of the temple. Will see the spire of the pagoda, the ubosot, and the pavilion which are beautiful when exposed to sunlight in the afternoon.
This is a wooden wagon for harnessing a cart. Used in important parade ceremonies of the temple.
