I visited Gran Canaria in the summer of 2019, before the global pandemic that forced everyone to reduce travel. I stayed for about two weeks, the island is located in the Canary archipelago and is part of the Spanish community. From Italy by plane it takes about 4 and a half hours, but it is absolutely worth it. The Canary Islands have a mild climate all year round, it is as if it were an eternal spring, in fact the temperatures are always between 20 and 30 degrees.I found myself very well, I visited many places on the island, which I will talk about in the next articles, also it was a very convenient holiday, in fact the prices in the Canaries are very low.
During the whole holiday I was in an apartment in a residence with swimming pool, the apartment was really big and comfortable and the price was super!It was located in the southern part of the island but easily accessible thanks to the free highway. For the whole trip I decided to rent a car in order to be able to move freely throughout the island.
Ho visitato Gran Canaria nell'estate del 2019, prima della pandemia globale che ha costretto tutti a ridurre gli spostamenti. Sono rimasta circa due settimane, l'isola si trova nell'arcipelago delle Canarie e fa parte della comunità spagnola. Dall'Italia in aereo ci vogliono circa 4 ore e mezza, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena. Le Canarie hanno un clima mite tutto l'anno, è come se fosse un'eterna primavera, infatti le temperature sono sempre dai 20 ai 30 gradi.Mi sono trovata molto bene,ho visitato molti posti sull'Isola,dei quali vi parlerò nei prossimi articoli, inoltre è stata una vacanza molto conveniente, infatti i prezzi alle Canarie sono molto bassi.
Durante l'intera vacanza sono stata in un appartamento all'interno di un residence con piscina, l'appartamento era davvero grande e confortevole ed il prezzo era super! Si trovava nella parte sud dell’Isola ma facilmente raggiungibile grazie all’autostrada gratuita. Per tutto il viaggio ho deciso di noleggiare un’auto in modo tale da potermi muovere in libertà lungo tutta l’isola.
The island has a variety of vegetation, from a very rich flora to the desert. The climate also changes from north to south, in the north it is much more windy while in the south it is calmer.
The main city is Las Palmas, it is a very developed city.Las palmas has numerous attractions, a large shopping center where you can find lots of shops and food areas, a wonderful aquarium and the archaeological museum. The Canarian museum is an archaeological museum that contains numerous artifacts found during excavations on the island, there is even a room full of skulls and skeletons of Aboriginal men! The museum was super fascinating.
L'isola possiede una varietà di vegetazione, da una flora molto ricca al deserto. Anche il clima cambia da nord a sud, a nord è molto più ventilato mentre a sud più calmo.
La città principale è Las Palmas, è una città molto sviluppata. Las palmas possiede numerose attrazioni, un centro commerciale di grandi dimensioni in cui è possibile trovare tantissimi negozi e aree per il cibo, un meraviglioso acquario e il museo archeologico. Il museo Canario è un museo archeologico che contiene numerosi reperti rinvenuti nel corso degli scavi sull'isola, vi è persino una sala piena di teschi e scheletri di uomini aborigeni! Il museo è stato super affascinante.
In the city it is also possible to see the house of Christopher Columbus! In fact, this colonial-style building was the home of Christopher Columbus every time he made a stop in the Canary Islands during his travels.
A Las Palmas è inoltre possibile vedere la casa di Cristoforo Colombo! Infatti questo edificio in stile coloniale, era proprio la dimora di Cristoforo Colombo ogni volta che durante i suoi viaggi faceva tappa alle Isole Canarie.
The city has a lot of very suggestive streets, rich especially in the oldest part of the city, of colored houses, each of a different color which thus create a contrast and a very nice play of colors to the eye. In addition, the city is located directly on the ocean so you can also stop for a little relaxation, swim or sunbathe.
La città possiede un sacco di vie molto suggestive, ricche soprattutto nella zona più antica della città, di case colorate, ognuna di un colore diverso che creano così un contrasto e un gioco di colori molto bello alla vista. Inoltre la città si trova direttamente sull'oceano quindi è possibile anche fermarsi per rilassarsi un po', fare il bagno o prendere il sole.
Absolutely to see is the aquarium of Las Palmas "Poema del Mar", which offers a large park with numerous aquatic animals and more, is very rich in marine biodiversity and also the chance to see them up close.
It is suitable for everyone for both adults and children, I managed to visit it on my birthday and it was fantastic! The cost varies from 15 to 25 euros.
Assolutamente da vedere è l'acquario di Las Palmas " Poema del Mar", che offre un grande parco con numerosi animali acquatici e non solo, è ricchissimo di biodiversità marina.
E' adatto per tutti sia per gli adulti che per i più piccoli, io sono riuscita a visitarlo il giorno del mio compleanno ed è stato fantastico! Il costo è vario va dai 15 ai 25 euro.
