Loch Earn, just to the north of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and also what could be considered the start of the Highlands of Scotland is part of one of the most scenic routes you can tour while in Scotland.
Right on Loch Earn is the village of Lochearnhead which takes its name from the loch next to it.
Providing stunning views of the Trossachs just from the lakeside
The place makes for a tranquil stop for those who are embarking on the route towards Glencoe, Oban or Fort William.
Glen Ogle is the hill range that can be seen from this point and is also a popular spot for Monroe hunters
If you are returning from Oban or Glencoe and travel along the A85 to Perth, just before reaching Lochearnhead
Then you will feast your eyes on this stunning view as you look southeasterly over the Trossachs.
All I could ever say here is, don't get distracted while driving, stop, get out of the car and take it in, as the views are just needing to be taken in and not rushed!
