I think I haven't posted a travel blog since I've started in Hive. So as a send me back saturday, we're going to revisit the first time I've visited Singapore and share with you some photos highlighting our first day
Singapore First Timer - Day One 🍍
Sentosa, an Island Resort
Our flight landed early in the morning and we wasted no time exploring singapore. First stop Sentosa.
Getting there
Sentosa is an island resort connected to the city. And for most toursits, to get there you need to take the monorail. Visiting a first world country for the first time puts me in awe especially with their very convenient transport modes (compared to the philippines)
Universal Studios Singapore
The world famous Universal Studios is also located here in the island. It's a theme park famous for thrilling rides and amazing shows inspired by their popular films and movies. While this is considered to be the main attraction in Sentosa and ultimately in Singapore there's a lot more Sentosa has to offer and we would not be exploring here for today. If taking risks is more your type, then try your luck in Resorts World Casinos also located here.
The Merlion
Singapore, known as the Lion City, has the Merlion as their official mascot. The lion head symbolizes characteristics which best describes Singapore and its people, while the lower half of a fish represents the origins of Sg as a fishing village. You can enter this structure and there's a viewing deck in the mouth of the Merlion and you can take nice pictures here and are great souvenirs.
Man made beach
If I am not mistaken, the country has no natural beaches. But worry not as they have a manmade sheltered beaches to complete that resort feel.
Wave House
Surfs up! No need to wait for that perfect wave. With the wave generator you'll be sure to be able to practice your surfing without going to the open sea. How cool is that?
Songs of the Sea
Pictures can't do justice on how magnificently entertaining this show was. The music, animations, fireworks, pyrotechnics, light projections and lasers, were nothing like I've ever seen before. If there's one show worth repeating, the songs of the sea is at top of my list.
And there you have it. Thanks for making it up to this point. See you on the next blog.
