September is an ideal month for traveling because it is still warm, the weather is sunny, there are no crowds on the beach like in July and August, and it is ideal for people who enjoy peace and quiet. This year I decided to spend 10 days in Alicante.
On one of my first morning walks, I stopped to have breakfast at a small bar right next to the beach. Toast, tomato sauce, aioli, a cup of coffee and one more reason to get up early and enjoy the beautiful sea view. The beach was almost empty and the wind was blowing gently from the sea.
The palm trees growing on the seashore fascinated me the most and left an impression on me. While I look at them and observe them, I have the impression that the palm trees are talking to the sea and the blowing wind seems to be conveying messages to the palm trees that are happening far out at sea.
Scenes like these became something I returned to every day. Rows of palm trees, soft sand and endless blue sky create a sense of peace that is hard to describe and easy to love. Yachts just off the coast give an exciting sense of adventure when sailing offshore.
One of the most beautiful beaches in the city, Playa del Postiguet, offers a combination of beauty and life. I took the photo so that part of the Benacantil hill, where the famous Castillo de Santa Barbara is located, can be seen. I often came here to rest, take a walk or simply sit and look at the sea.
I really enjoyed these 10 days in Alicante. I struck a nice balance between rest, walks, food and exploration. The city is simple, pleasant and warm. I told myself that I will come here again next year. The city is simple, pleasant and warm.
