Good morning, adventure friends!
Now let's go with us to Dong Giang tea mountain which is located in Jo Hay commune, Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province.
Who am I?
I am a turtle cyclist.
Along the way cycling to Dong Giang tea mountain, many people around said that why we had to cycle and fortune our body like that rather than easily driving motorbike to get there. We just smiled because we are quite crazy and we meet someone like us as well. Because we know that this is the way to give us more appreciation to enjoy nature and bond our friendship because we experienced and supported each other.
1.Nature around us
Today, we met up at 6 am in the morning in the Dragon Bridge in Da Nang then started to cycle there. After the first 10km, we were close to nature. It had lots of mountains, blue rivers and the weather today was so perfect that it was cloudy so we had full energy to ride the long road.
On this trip, I was so happy that I had a friend that had the same speed as me so we rode together all the time and got lots of fun and shared talks. I was so grateful to chat with her because normally I just cycled super slowly then left far behind the group and alone. We stopped to take a rest, even sometimes had to walk up because it was so rough and steep. But we had a fun time together and took some photos.
2.Come to the ethnic village
After over 35km of cycling up and down along through many beautiful sceneries, we came to a small village. One thing that surprised me was that people here are super friendly that they greeted me with a smile and said hello to our group both the kids and the adults. I felt like I belonged here. I saw some special houses built along the way and looked at how people have lived here. They planted lots of tea trees and already harvested them. Besides, I saw a great cat look like a small tiger. Oh my god, it looked so gorgeous and cute.
3.Make a fire and have a small picnic
It was so great that we finally did it and it was time to eat and enjoy our achievement. We bought some fruit, food, and water along the way. My friend was so professional making fire and cooking so I let him do it. After 1 hour of enjoying, all of us were tired and took a nap by just lying down on the group and sleeping. I was the last one still awake and watched them.
4.Finish 45km back to Da Nang
This time the sun came up and we were so excited to see the blue sky and pretty clouds. I love this time of the day. We separated into small groups of 3 people and I was slow so I cycled with 2 friends. They are super good and I really liked talking with them. One is my little sister who is trying to get out of her comfort zone by moving to Da Nang. One is my little brother who traveled around Vietnam by motorbike 2 times and is a master of trekking in the forest in Viet Nam. They all inspired me to try more new things and be open to experiencing as much as I can.
I was so grateful to go and meet all my friends today.
This was a great trip and gave me more energy to do other things.
