It still is Christmas, the weather is still cold and we are experiencing chilly wind breezes from time to time. Though we only have rainfall instead of snowfall (Yeah, I sometimes wish to experience snow), as always in December, however weather like this doesn't stop us to go to the beach!
Our Christmas celebration always extends up to my brother's birthday. This time we had our simple celebration on the beach. When our parents decided to go to Odlot Beach, I was a little disappointed and on my face was the obvious reaction of ("Ugghhh not this time again). I really wanted to go to a beach this Christmas that is new to my eyes. But of course, I know we cannot go further because in seasons like this crowds are gathering here and there.
Beautiful Foamy Sea of Odlot
It's not my first time coming to Odlot. I could no longer keep track of how many times I'd come here. This is one of the nearest public beaches to our house. The last time I came and enjoyed the beach was during summertime when the sky was so bright, the sea was calm and beautiful in blue shades. This time it's windy and drizzling because of the low pressure and the season. In short, it's not the best time to go to the beach. But to my surprise, I see the stunning beauty of the beach from another perspective: dramatic and wild.
So in this blog, I'll be flooding your feed with the beautiful and frothy sea of Odlot that stuns us and which I believe is worth sharing (especially to places that are experiencing heavy snow right now). Hope these lovely pictures of the beach somehow let you feel warm.🤗
By the time we arrived, I immediately went for a stroll while my siblings were preparing the food. I first stroll along the seashore. The sand of this beach is not that creamy and fine but it still is white.
The lovely shore.
I so love this scenery. The blue sea and that beautiful formation of the sky above and the small blue boats are so refreshing to look at.
Before it gets foamy.
The sea was a little calm and nicer when we came. An hour after or so, the waves started to get bigger and produces foam every time it kisses the seashore.
The frothy sea.
I stare at the waves and marvel at those frothy white bubbles it leaves on the seashore. I was enchanted by how the waves approached the shore with anger and how they left those pretty little bubbles on the shore. I must admit it's energizing to look at. It gives a thrill to me.
I strolled along the shore and was able to witness the movement of the waves and how the color of the sea and sky changed. As it gets a little gloomy, the sea became more active.
The fishing boats.
Of course, beach moments for wouldn't be complete without me taking a photo of my favorite subject on the beach, the fishing boats. There is life on the beach, but for me, these small fishing boat on the seashore added more life to them.
Today's favorite of mine is this red boat. The boat perfectly complements the azure blue sky.
I also see these two locals building their boats. Isn't it amazing how this simple locals can build a boat on their own? They are not engineers but they can perfectly build a boat to sail and fish.
The simple celebration with the family.
The highlight of this beach day is the celebration of my brother's 28th birthday. We rent an open cottage for us to use.
The cottage only cost 200 pesos (around 3.6USD).
While everyone is busy preparing and I strolling, the kids were also having a fun time on the sand. We did have a great time on the beach. After our lunch, we then went to the beach swimming and enjoyed the foam party brought by the sea! haha!
Indeed it was a happy celebration!.
Thank you so much for reading guys. Hope you are all safe and healthy!
