While others run to museums for painting, I run to tops and hills for sunsets and twilights.
If only I could drive as fast as the lightning to arrive at our destination to best witness the fiery ball kissing the mountains and the skies in the west, I would grab the steering wheel and wooosh!⚡️
Disappointed I was not, but rather I was frantic and agitated (as the clock struck 5') to be able to catch the beautiful sunset at Daat , Sogod. I've been meaning to go to the tranquil tops of Daat which not only provides a 360 view of the mountains, the coast and the sea but also offers the best spot to watch the sunset in the countryside.
And my instinct calculations were right, I wasn't able to catch the magnif sunset. But what I saw was the fleeting and magical twilight on the top of Daat - the breathtaking magic hour.
This photo was taken on our way going to Daat, Borbon. It still looked bright which gave me hope that I could catch the sunset if we will just hurry.
AT DAAT TOPS.
The glow still pervades. I thought we were unlucky to not be able to catch the sunset, but the sight right in front of my eyes changed my thought. I didn't know I was about to witness the calming, beautiful, and life-changing moments brought by the last rays of lights fading as it turns to soft evening.
Daat Sogod Tops of Northern Cebu is frequently visited by people who love sightseeing and watching the sunset. I discovered this beautiful place during the times when I was looking for a transformation of my life which I do through hiking tops and hills.
I witness how slowly time pass by as the last lights fade. Our position at Daat Tops, allowed us to see the beautiful panoramic view of the mountain and sea and the open sky.
Can you see the moon? Isn't it lovely? Everything was so peaceful, serene, and wonderful up there. How I wish I could spend plenty of my weekends there.
As I was watching the ethereal beauty, I felt refreshed as I felt the breeze of the air starting to get cold. I made sure to take some photos to share the wonders I witnessed there.
Incomparable but here are some of the snaps I took. Hope you will enjoy the twilight and the soft evening too. (Now Playing: Wonderful Tonight)
There were also some people watching the sunset. Everyone was looking at the grand sky while some were taking photos like me.
How peaceful the view is. I do like this view, the tower, the mountains, and the sea.
I was in awe, watching these vanishing glimpses of colors. It made me appreciate the beauty of life even more.
Here comes the soft evening! It must be relaxing and soothing sitting under this tree, watching the tranquil view, listening to a piece of soft classical music while slowly drinking a cold beer.
Time went so super slow in there. I had the best time pause of my life.
I witnessed how the soft evening steal the light and how those little houses started turning their lighton.
This photo reminds me of the first few lines of the poem "A Ballad of the Mother's heart",
For the moon was young,
And the Stars were asleep and rare,"
It's amazing how everything went so slowly when you are watching a sunset, yet it is so surprising to see how fast time changes. From bright to dark, from sunset to evening and (from when there was "still you and your partner" but now long gone.) Awwws.
The grand view right before my eyes, made me reflect and felt grateful for the little things in life. I also learned and realize, that sometimes, we feel disappointed in the moment we thought we missed, without knowing that something bigger and majestic is waiting for us. Change is part of life.
Thanks for Reading guys. Happy Weekend!
