" One day in the country
Is worth a month in town " - Christina Rossetti
Personally, I believe that no amount of riches is ever enough, and that when it is obtained, there will always be a greater quality of living than wanted. Living in the moment and being content with what you have will give you a sense of pure and uncomplicated happiness. If there is a metric for who is happier than whom, it is simply a matter of personal preference. I'll continue to live and work while reaping the benefits I deserve.
My pals and I are going on a pleasant weekend trip. Each of us has a regular job, and we occasionally get together on the weekends to de-stress after long days at work. To appreciate the distinctive atmosphere, we favor nature on the outskirts of the city.
Hoa Trung Lake, in Hoa Vang commune, Da Nang, is our city's second largest freshwater lake, with lovely chilly air complemented by the surrounding mountains. This is also a popular spot for city residents to have picnics, as well as a popular stopping point for cyclists. The site is roughly 20 kilometers from the city center, on a deserted and vast road. If you prefer to fish, paddle sup, or kayak, it's even better when there are some floating islands in the middle of the lake where you can relax without being disturbed.
When the water level is low enough to reveal a shallow strip of land connecting some islands, it usually takes 2 to 3 months(7,8,9). If you know the way down, you can walk or ride your bike to the island. Because it is hidden, and there is a project underway to build a road around the lake on the mountain. For our weekend, we decided to combine camping and fishing.
The best time is either early in the morning or about 3 p.m. We go in the afternoon when the sun is still high because we will be spending the night there. Changes in temperature in urban areas will eventually shift to lower temperatures closer to the lake. When the water season was over, we left the car on the main road and discovered a way down to the island. I'm not sure where the free-range cows come from because no one appears to be grazing there. Perhaps the new grasslands emerging from the shallow soils revealed by low water piqued their interest.
Tables and chairs were swiftly set up, and tents were set up. I let the girls play as they pleased; those who enjoy fishing can go fishing, and those who enjoy paddling can go exploring around the lake on their own. Preparing dinner for everyone makes me happy. It's easy to get firewood, and the wind isn't too fierce for me to be in the kitchen. I notice everyone's laughter and contentment, and I understand their hardships when they have seven days of work in closed rooms with little movement.
The night here is a little cool, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 30 degrees Celsius (81 to 87 degrees Fahrenheit), but it's extremely pleasant next to a tiny warm fire and some food and drink. It is also not too dark because the sky is lightly polluted with light from the distant residential area, and you can easily appreciate the dazzling light on the summit of the mountain, the well-known tourism destination of Ba Na.
For added pleasure, try a little yeast from beer or wine; I believe you will stay up late due to the gorgeous and refreshing things this place has to offer.
When the dawn burns crimson through the low treetops towards the sea in the morning, it will be much more magical when floating on the rippled lake and watching the sunrise.
When I work early in the morning, I love the air to be a little cool mixed with the warm feeling of the first rays of sunlight. With the afternoon sun, the countryside takes on a lighter hue. Before returning for breakfast and early morning coffee, take advantage of the opportunity to explore the neighboring lake and breathe in the fresh air. It's also nice if you have some hot tea.
This is appropriate for singles, small families, or groups of fewer than ten people. You may take all of your utensils, food, and water supplies with you on the road. There are various areas to sit and fish along the shore, as well as have a refreshing picnic beneath the shade of trees.
A quick weekend excursion where nature will broaden your life experiences. Being content with what is available is not the same as truly comprehending what is valuable.
Because we are extremely fortunate.
Hope you had a great weekend and thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
