Those who are short on time for a day long trip to Saint Martin, don't waste time getting off the ship and take the van directly to West Beach or Main Beach. For this you have to pay 150 to 200 taka for van rental. It takes 20 to 25 minutes to walk here, but it's not worth wasting time on a day long trip. This place is good for swimming, so if you want to come to the beach, you can take a bath in the clear water.
Whatever you do, remember that you have to be free before 2 o'clock or you won't even have time to eat. And of course you have to reach the ship before 3 o'clock. If you have time, you can visit Humayun Ahmed's cottage near the main beach.
The cost of any trip is entirely up to you. Costs depend on how you travel, where you stay, what you eat and what you do. Pick season
(Dec-Jan) or during holidays other expenses including accommodation and meals will be slightly higher.
