It's a quiet Sunday morning, and I decided to take a break from city life by heading to Springleaf Nature Park for a relaxing day. I woke up at 7:30 AM, feeling good and energetic, ready for a morning walk that I had planned since the night before. My goal for this visit was to record some videos, take photos, and write a new blog post to contribute to the Worldmappin Community. I believe staying active and creating content is a great way to exercise and engage with the community.
After waking up, I went straight to the bathroom for a refreshing bath, eager to start my adventure early to avoid the heat of the sun and the crowds. I find it more relaxing to capture the beauty of nature without the distractions of a busy park.
Whenever there are too many people, I feel the pressure of being watched, which affects my creativity while taking videos. I often feel self-conscious and confused about what I’m doing when surrounded by crowds, so I prefer to film in quieter settings. This allows me to showcase the serenity and calmness of the place without any disturbances.
Springleaf Nature Park is one of those hidden gems in Singapore, not widely known by tourists. Most visitors are locals from the nearby area. The park is easily accessible from Springleaf MRT station via exit one, where you'll find food places and commercial spaces offering quality products at affordable prices.
As soon as I reached the entrance of the park, the first thing I noticed was a long stretch of canal or river lined with lush greenery. Although the flowers were not in bloom, the tranquility of the area was enchanting. There were few activities around, with some people riding bikes, others jogging, and some playing with their kids. Many were simply relaxing on the benches, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
In one area of the park, I noticed two bird photographers actively searching for their elusive subjects. They were on the lookout for rare birds flying around the park. Dressed in cool, camouflage uniforms to blend into their surroundings, these guys were clearly professionals. Their expensive gear and dedicated focus made it evident how serious they were about capturing the perfect shot. It was fascinating to see their expertise and commitment to their craft up close!
The quietness of the place allowed me to hear the rustling of leaves, the chirping of birds, and the occasional sound of a monitor lizard roaming around. It was a perfect setting to capture the essence of nature.
On the other side of the entrance, I was delighted to find a charming café serving freshly brewed coffee and delicious pastries. Right next to the café, there are rental bikes available for anyone who wants to explore the park on wheels. These amenities make it an ideal spot for a light and enjoyable weekend getaway with friends and family.
Sringleaf Nature Park is a perfect place to immerse oneself in nature and savor the tranquility of the surroundings. It's a haven where people can relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
Overall, my visit to Springleaf Nature Park was a rejuvenating experience. It reminded me of the beauty and calmness that nature offers, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I look forward to sharing my videos and photos, hoping to inspire others to find their own peaceful escapes in nature.
