Una réplica de un Galeón español del siglo XVII que solía hacer las rutas comerciales de América a Europa y Asia hasta Filipinas. La flota de las Indias fue la ruta marítima más larga de la historia de la navegación tanto en duración como de recorrido.
In the marina of Sotogrande in the province of Cadiz, we find moored the Galleon Andalucia. A replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon that used to sail the trade routes from America to Europe and Asia to the Philippines. The fleet of the Indies was the longest maritime route in the history of navigation both in length and route.

Going down to the main gunnery deck, we find the area where the sailors spent their little free time. Where they ate and slept in their coys or hammocks.
Aunque era un barco mercante solían llevar armamento defensivo. No se podía comparar a los navíos de guerra ni por el número ni por el calibre de las piezas de artillería.
Although it was a merchant ship, they used to carry defensive weapons. It could not be compared to warships in terms of the number or calibre of the artillery pieces.
El alimento principal solía ser un bizcocho duro de harina cocida junto a legumbres, arroz, tocino y pescado. Vino aguado para beber y algunos animales vivos para alimentar a los oficiales.
The main food was usually a hard sponge cake made of boiled flour together with vegetables, rice, bacon and fish. Watered down wine to drink and some live animals to feed the officers.
