Hello travelers, this time I want to tell you a little about another tourist destination I visited, called calima. It is a place that is located in a small town south of the municipality of Cali. Calima has different climates due to its altitude, including rainforest ecosystems.
Hola viajeros, en esta ocasión quiero contarles un poco sobre otro destino turístico que visité, llamado calima. Es un lugar que se encuentra en un corregimiento al sur del municipio de Cali. Calima presenta diversos climas debido a su altitud, incluyendo ecosistemas de selva tropical.
I got to know this destination thanks to some pictures I saw on the internet. It is known as Lake Calima. The day I visited, the temperature was approximately 24 degrees Celsius. The town of Calima generally has a warmer climate. We headed out one Sunday with friends to the lake, leaving from west of Cali. It took about 2 hours by car and we arrived at noon. We stopped for lunch in town and then headed to the lake, which is very close to the town of Darien, also known by that name.
Conocí este destino gracias a unas fotos que vi en internet. Se conoce como el lago Calima. El día que lo visité, la temperatura estaba aproximadamente en 24 grados Celsius. El pueblo de Calima generalmente tiene un clima más cálido. Nos dirigimos un domingo entre amigos al lago, saliendo desde el oeste de Cali. Tardamos aproximadamente 2 horas en carro y llegamos al mediodía. Hicimos una parada para almorzar en el pueblo y luego nos dirigimos al lago, que está muy cerca del pueblo de Darien, también conocido por ese nombre.
Lake Calima presents beautiful landscapes that catch the eye. In addition to its fauna and flora, you can enjoy horseback riding, boat rides, hiking and jet skiing. Kayaking, water skiing and other nautical sports are also offered in the area. Camping is available, and from what we found out, the prices are quite affordable. It is a perfect place to vacation, either in farms, hotels or country houses in the area.
El lago Calima presenta paisajes hermosos que atrapan a simple vista. Además de su fauna y flora, se puede disfrutar de paseos a caballo, paseos en lancha, senderismo y paseos en jet ski. También se realizan actividades en kayak, esquí acuático y otros deportes náuticos que se ofrecen en el lugar. Se puede acampar, y según lo que averiguamos, los precios son bastante accesibles. It is also a beautiful place where you can take amazing pictures or just enjoy the day. The town is very pretty and colorful, and the people are very friendly.
