And again a post about Montenegro! In one of the cities we visited in Montenegro, it was the capital, and its name is Podgorica. So we came here by bus from another city. It was too late. Everyone was hungry. We needed to check in. We called a taxi. By the way, they brought us for a fairly low price (unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what 😅). But we only had large bills, so the taxi driver took us to a gas station where we were able to change money and buy some food.
So, after that, we followed all the instructions of this apartment (because when you rent an apartment on Airbnb you have to enter a password to get the keys, or another way, as the owner of the apartment will tell you). We went into our apartments and finally laid out our things. By the way, the design was very beautiful, cute, warm and cozy. There were three rooms here. Bedroom, living room and bathroom. And as always, I don't have a single photo of the design of the apartment 😅. We ate and went to sleep. The next day, early in the morning, my mother and I went to explore the city. We ate a couple of figs from the trees 😋 while the owners of the trees did not see, and also bought products. By the way, the store was right next to us in the same building as the apartment.
We brought the groceries and went for a walk a little more. But in the other direction! But there was something interesting on this side! Namely - this is a river! There is no sea in the capital of Montenegro, but there is a river here! And her name is Moracha. And of course we wanted to swim. But it was already late, so we decided on the next day. So, the next day we took our swimsuits and ran to the river. After crossing the nearest bridge, we could not find the beach for a long time. Finally, a little closer to the Millennium Bridge, which you can see in some of my photos, we found the beach. By the way, a little about this bridge. The Millennium Bridge was opened in early July 2005. On July 13, the Statehood Day is celebrated in Montenegro, and the bridge has become a kind of gift to all citizens. The cost of the grand cable-stayed bridge cost the city budget 7 million euros. Wow! 🤩 The length of the bridge is 140 meters (from one end to the other, the length is 173 m), the width is 24 m. And the height of the pylon above the road is almost 60 meters.
And now about the beach. The beach was pebbly (I don't know what other beach there might be in the river, write to me if you know), and the water is cold 😄, because it is mountainous. But it's not a problem for me because I like cold water. When I got into the water, small fish swam in and started biting them! It was so amazing! My sister doesn't like it at all. So I'm finally taking the plunge. It is such a pleasure to swim in fresh cold water. And who else among you loves cold water as much as I do? I really enjoyed swimming in this river. And I like to swim in rivers more than in the sea, because you don't have to wash off the salt water. So, after this bath, we sat on the stone for a while, and then went to the apartment. And where do you like to swim more, in the sea or in the river? Write me in the comments.
Bye bye everyone! 🏞️
