As I wrote, we took the subway, which transports people under the river on the other side of Budapest. So, one place we went on it is the Fisherman's Bastion. The Fisherman's Bastion is a very beautiful architectural structure (I really like it) in another part of Budapest called Buda. By the way, one of the sights of the Hungarian capital. My mom and sister were already there, so I wanted to too. By the way, I did not know that Budapest was the capital of Hungary. And so, let's start our journey! After we got off the metro, my sister took us on the road leading to the Bastion. There were beautiful houses here. When we arrived, I saw a beautiful beautiful building (I have accepted the bastion).
As I read, it is an area surrounded by a gallery 140 m long and 8 m wide with conical tent towers. Small 6 and one central - symbolize the seven tribes that founded the Hungarian state. By the way, these towers had a very beautiful view. But unfortunately some of them were closed. There was a very strong wind, so we did not go around the whole bastion. The bastion offers a magnificent view of the Danube and Pest. He is very beautiful to me. If you didn't know, then I'll tell you what I read on Wikipedia. The fishing bastion was created in 1899-1905 by architect Friges Shulek. It is clear that he had good taste. It was conceived as an architectural background for the Church of St. Matthew.
Remains in its name, the Fisherman's Bastion has never had as much defensive significance as I knew. Earlier on the site of the Fisherman's Bastion was surrounded by a fortress wall area where fish were traded. Probably because of this he was called a fisherman. In the Middle Ages, Buddhist fishermen defended this part of the wall in case of military threat. The fishing bastion became a monument to the brave guild of fishermen. By the way, it seems that I took a photo of their statues. Because of this, too, probably it was called in the first place. I really like the bastion, don't you? I think you like it. There were binoculars in the bastion for money. My sister shared it with him. It was very nice to see everything! But I did not have time to see and so we went to exchange bills for pennies. We went to two cafes, but we did not change there, because we did not understand! But in the third they changed and I was able to look through binoculars. You can see a video of what the binoculars look like.
Bye bye everyone!
