What is Air Terjun Bidadari
"Air Terjun Bidadari" is a name that is called by the Indonesian people as a very beautiful place in the interior of the Aceh forest. This nymphs waterfall is said to be a place for angels to bathe, so it is called the nymphs waterfall. I don't know the exact story that was told by the local community, of course I shared my experience when I was in this forest to go to this "Bidadari Waterfall" place.
3 days I explored the aceh forest which is located in northern Aceh, Indonesia. My friends and I had a very stressful journey at that time, how could I not, this was my most extreme trip when I was in this forest location, the forest was so dense and very steep when I explored it. The path we took on foot was 50 km from Gereudong Pase Village, North Aceh district, Indonesia.

in the middle of the journey every 10 km we walked there were many waterfalls that we encountered, one of which is in the photo above. The waterfall and the slippery and covered rocks are very difficult to climb, why do we have to climb it, because the access to our destination must pass through rocks and heavy water like this, but it's not a problem for us, we just get wet and walk use bare feet, because this can reduce slippery roads when climbing.
After a day from the city of Lhokseumawe to the village of Gereudong pase, we had to stay for a while on these big rocks. To anticipate wild animals, we burn bonfires and set up tents, because here we feel it is very suitable for staying and camping. The photo above is a photo of us when morning has arrived, clear, cool and cold water and a bonfire as body warmer and some food that can fill our stomachs in the meantime before leaving for "Bidadari Waterfall".

Actually we have to shoot a lot of photography and we capture it here, but our battery is very weak to get electric power is very difficult, we limit the use of smartphones and battery lights that we provide, even though we bring a smartphone charger device, we can't use it because it doesn't work. there is an electric power that can charge our batteries, therefore we save on the use of smartphones as photo shoots and documentation.
To adapt to this forest area, we invite village youth who live in this area, we invite 4 youths who are ready to guide us to our destination until we return to the city. This young man admitted that this area is very vulnerable to wild animals such as tigers, snakes and other wild animals that roam the forest. Maybe you've heard of the nickname Sumatran tiger, well this is where they often roam, the reason we are not afraid is because among the 4 young men are the handlers of the wild tiger.
After walking for about 20 km we found the 2nd waterfall, the water is not as high as the first waterfall, but the water is very heavy and has levels up to 3 levels.

Here we saw very clear water, rushing from the mountains flowing until we stopped for a moment to rest and play around this waterfall. The water looks very green and fresh. There is no reason that we don't take a bath and enjoy the freshness and fun that we get here, we have come a long way to walk until we are exhausted, but the feeling of tiredness and tiredness is not felt because what we saw was amazing, if you are a nature lover, you are very understand moments like these.
Seen my friends were looking for some food for us to eat, we started to feel hungry because it was time for lunch, some of my friends were looking for fish and some dry logs for us to do fish burning. The food stock we provide has run out, we feel that nature is very friendly, we don't feel the slightest trouble because this forest has a lot of food that we can take around, such as fish, sweet potatoes, bananas and other plants that we can eat, not to drink need to ask again, we can drink it directly without having to cook it first, because this water is very natural and refreshing.
Did you know that the photo I show above is in the hills of the mountains, if we look around to the right of this photo, it is steep and slightly slipped, it will fall to the bottom of the river. And the peak of this waterfall looks like a lump of earth in a pile, but this is a very large rock that is shaped like a mound. In addition to having great vigilance, we also have to be careful with the natural conditions at that time. Because there has been a very undesirable event, namely the swift event of a waterfall that can drag people who have crossed this river.
After walking about 40 km, there is a waterfall that is more beautiful than before, I thought that this was the last waterfall I visited, but my guess was wrong, even the handler said there would be a last waterfall that we would explore if in the future with 10 loot miles again. We were forced to rest here to spend the night around the 4th waterfall that we had visited. Starting in the afternoon at that time, we had to prepare our lodging and dinner when night fell, as usual we had to pay attention and prepare the tent, dinner and lighting such as a bonfire and a high bed like a rope swing that we tied to tree trunks. , we do this so that when we sleep, reptiles do not directly touch our bodies, usually snakes will lurk at night if the body is directly in contact with the ground while sleeping, therefore we took the initiative to sleep on the swing that we provide.
The morning arrived, we immediately headed to the last waterfall, which was about 10 km away. We have gathered some passion and energy to explore this forest.
The photos we took together to capture these very precious moments, I believe this is a very rare time maybe in my lifetime I could only once be able to wade through the river and explore the forest like this when I was young. Seen in the photography above the waterfall flows very fast from the previous waterfall that we stopped.
Long story short, we had walked approximately 10 km to spend the whole day to the last waterfall point, and I captured my moment when bathing under the rushing waterfall and this very natural slippery rock. Here is a photo when I enjoy the beautiful nature of this forest, I feel pleasure and enjoyment with nature.

The last place we explored had arrived at the end, I was very excited to take pictures and capture these moments, but it's a pity that we should have hundreds of photos that we have to capture. But how we should do this will be an experience for the future that the supply of batteries and for cameras, lights and smartphones must really be prioritized.
That's all I can say and share a little of my experience when exploring the Aceh forest which is our destination to "Bidadari Waterfall", I hope you like it. Our hope is to be able to introduce our region, especially Aceh which has a lot of natural potential, natural beauty and some very amazing destinations.
