As you see, the Maas is not a small river
The Meuse or Maas is a major European river, rising in France and flowing through Belgium and the Netherlands before draining into the North Sea from the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta. It has a total length of 925 km (575 miles).

Brewery = DE RIDDER =
Brouwerij De Ridder, later Stadsbrouwerij De Ridder, is a former beer brewery in the Dutch city of Maastricht. The brewery is located on the Oeverwal, directly on the Maas River, in the eastern district of Wyck. The brewhouse has been a national monument since 1997. De Ridder was an independent family business until 1982 and remained in production until 2002. In part of the complex, as of 2018, a brewery has been established again under the name Stadsbrouwerij Maastricht.

Take a seat in our Tasting Room or on our lovely waterside terrace. Enjoy delicious home-brewed beer with matching dishes and the hospitality of Maastricht. Within walking distance of the Vrijthof and with a fantastic view of the Maas!
With 16 taps, we offer specials in addition to our regular beers. These are one-off beers in which the brewer can use his creativity. In this way the tap selection remains varied and adapted to the season.
