Hello hive friends!
Last month I attended a company gathering. Because there are so many employees in our company, the gathering was divided into three batches. And I got part of the first batch, which means I joined the group that was the first to go. The event is outside the city, precisely in the city of Bandung, West Java. The city of Bandung is often used as a place for my company's gatherings. Looks like this is my third time gathering in Bandung. We left in the morning for Bandung by bus. Arriving in Bandung we ate for a while then headed to the rafting place. The rafting place is called Situ Cileunca or it could be called Cileunca Lake. The distance from the hotel to Situ Cileunca is quite far and takes about an hour and a half to travel.
At first I was a little confused about why I was rafting on a lake. Yes, as I said earlier, Situ Cileunca is a lake. We gathered by the lake and got ready. We were divided into five people per boat. Previously I had rafted in 2019, so I was confused about why I was rafting in a lake where the water was calm. It should be in a river with lots of rapids. Then after getting on the boat to the end of the lake, I realized that the rafting was on the paragliding river which is on the other side of the lake. This is a new experience for me, because in my previous experience when rafting we went straight on a boat on the river. But this time we had to cross the lake, go up then cross the main road and walk towards the river.
The Palayangan River is a river located across Lake Cileunca. This Paralayang river is in the middle of the forest. The river is not wide and shallow, but the current is quite fast. That is why this river is used as a rafting place. In my opinion, rafting on this river is quite fun. At first there are some rapids, but down the rapids they are not too steep. Compared to my previous experience, this river is safer. Apart from getting your adrenaline pumping, rafting on the paragliding river is very pleasing to the eye because there are many unique campsites along the river. Recently, camping next to a river in the middle of the forest has become a trend. So it is not surprising that along this river many camps have been built with hotel facilities in them. Because this is in the middle of the forest, the air around the river is also very fresh. My team and I really enjoyed our trip, we felt happy.
The river is quite long so it takes about 1 hour on the water. My team and I didn't forget to take selfies to capture our excitement.
