The city of Cordoba with Germanic influences has been attracting thousands of tourists since the last century and is the creator of the national beer festival.
(La ciudad de Córdoba con influencias germanas que desde el siglo pasado atrae miles de turistas y creadora de la fiesta nacional de la cerveza)
How are you dear friends? It is a pleasure to greet you and to share with you another travel post, this time related to one of the towns or I could say a small city with a lot of German influence, very touristic, located in the province of Cordoba, Argentina.
Villa General Belgrano, located in a department called Calamuchita and at a distance of approximately 750 kms from Buenos Aires, Capital Federal.
¿Cómo están queridos amigos? Es un agrado saludarles y poder compartir con ustedes otro post de viajes, en ésta ocasión relacionado a uno de los pueblos o pudiera decir una pequeña ciudad con mucha influencia alemana muy turística, ubicada en la provincia de Córdoba, Argentina.
Villa General Belgrano, ubicado en un departamento llamado Calamuchita y a una distancia de 750 kms aproximados desde Buenos Aires, Capital Federal.
It's a magical little city, that's how I define it. In it you can find complete constructions that highlight the architecture coming from or characteristic of Bavaria, German state where the designs or styles of these buildings are Gothic or Romanesque style in the case of cathedrals or churches and in this section of photographs can be seen.
The great tower of a cathedral, the buildings and shopping malls that are on the streets of the city, have this type of designs and it is very clear the influence of the German country and the state of Bavaria in Villa General Belgrano.
Es una pequeña ciudad mágica, así lo defino yo. En ella puedes encontrar de forma completa construcciones que resaltan la arquitectura proveniente o característica de Baviera, estado alemán en dónde los diseños o estilos de éstas edificaciones son de estilo góticos o romanos en el caso de las catedrales o iglesia y en ésta sección de fotografías se puede observar.
La gran torre de una catedral, los edificios y paseos de compras que están sobre las calles de la ciudad, tienen este tipo de diseños y se nota muy claro la influencia del país alemán y el estado de Baviera en Villa General Belgrano.
This was the second place I visited with this kind of German customs and designs from the country mentioned. Previously we had known a town called La Cumbrecita, it is located 40 kms from Villa General Belgrano and I dedicated a post about a week ago, however I think that here this type of influences is more noticeable especially in how the city is designed.
They are two different small towns but with things in common.
I could not choose between one and the other but I could say that both fascinated me especially for the tranquility and calm that permeates its streets, stores, parks and surroundings.
Éste fué el segundo lugar que visité con este tipo de costumbres alemanas y diseños del país mencionado. Anteriormente habíamos conocido un pueblo llamado La Cumbrecita, se encuentra a 40 kms de Villa General Belgrano y le dedique un post hace una semana aproximadamente, sin embargo creo que acá este tipo de influencias es más notable sobretodo en como está diseñada la ciudad.
Son dos pequeños pueblos diferentes pero con cosas en común.
No pudiera elegir entre uno y otro pero si pudiera decir que ambos me fascinaron sobretodo por la tranquilidad y calma que se respira en sus calles, establecimientos, tiendas, parques y alrededores.
There is something very particular and special that characterizes this small city and is that just as in Bavaria, in its capital Munich, here in Villa General Belgrano also celebrates the beer festival since 1980 and it is the Oktoberfest, that is why there are many local, restaurants and craft beer bars and is in the month of October the date of this beer festival.
To my disappointment I visited this location last month so I could not enjoy it. However I promised myself to organize a year to go on those dates and I can already imagine that it will be something awesome.

Hay algo muy particular y especial que caracteriza ésta pequeña ciudad y es que así como en Baviera, en su capital Munich, acá en Villa General Belgrano también se celebra la fiesta de la cerveza desde 1980 y se trata del Oktoberfest, es por ello que hay muchos de locales, restaurantes y bares de cervezas artesanales y es en el mes de octubre la fecha de ésta fiesta cervecera.
Para mí desilución visité ésta localidad el mes pasado así que no pude disfrutar de ello. Sin embargo me prometí organizar un año para ir en esas fechas y ya puedo imaginar que será algo impresionante.
Something that I would also like to highlight is the cordiality of its inhabitants, their attention and charisma was something that caught our attention, because in the capital you don't see much of that. The streets are very clean and the designs of all the stores, stores and businesses with very striking aesthetics and drawings in wood.
A city that undoubtedly has a lot of nightlife and has its rest time in the evenings. I was also amazed to see that in the time farm from 12 to 17hs seemed a ghost town, most of the shops closed. Rest is untouchable there, but it is a good opportunity to visit the forests and rivers surrounding the city 😁
Algo que también me gustaría destacar es la cordialidad de sus habitantes, su atención y carisma fue algo que nos llamó mucho la atención, pues en la capital no se ve mucho eso. Las calles muy limpias y los diseños de todas las tiendas, locales y negocios con estéticas y dibujos en madera muy llamativos.
Una ciudad que sin duda tiene mucha vida nocturna y tiene su tiempo de descanso por las tardes. Me asombro ver también que en la granja horaria de 12 a 17hs parecía una ciudad fantasma, la mayoría de los locales cerrados. El descanso es intocable allí, pero es una buena oportunidad para visitar los bosques y ríos que rodean la ciudad 😁
The gastronomy is a delight in addition to the typical sweets that you get for sale although I should say that it is somewhat expensive at least in comparison with La Cumbrecita... We spent two nights staying on the outskirts of the city in a campsite called Florida, just a few minutes from the city and the rivers.
It is a city that I would highly recommend to visit and of course in October to enjoy the beer festival.
La gastronomía es una delicia además de los dulces típicos que consigues a la venta aunque debí decir que es algo costoso al menos en comparación con La Cumbrecita... Estuvimos dos noches hospedandonos en las afueras de la ciudad en un camping llamado Florida, a muy poco minutos de la ciudad y de los ríos.
Es una ciudad que recomendaría ampliamente visitar y por supuesto que sea en octubre para disfrutar de la fiesta de la cerveza.
Finally and before leaving the city we decide to take a walk in the evening around the city and eat something in some restaurant, already by that time I didn't have my camera at hand but I took some pictures with my phone and can't help but share them also with all of you 😊
So this is a bit of the small town Villa General Belgrano in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. A little German corner with important Bavarian architecture. I hope it has been to everyone's liking both the place and the photographs and information provided the text.
