Greetings dear friends of #Hive it is a pleasure for me to share one of my most recent trips with you. The destination was the province of Cordoba in which we visited many places and natural attractions, among them is a small town called "La Cumbrecita", this is located in the Sierras de Cordoba, in the Calamuchita Valley.
It is one of the towns that is at the highest of all that we visit, as it is 1450 meters above sea level and is well known for being the only pedestrian village in Argentina 🙂
Saludos queridos amigos de #Hive es un gusto para mí compartir uno de mis más recientes viajes con ustedes. El destino fué la provincia de Córdoba en la cual visítanos muchos lugares y atractivos naturales, entre ellos está un pequeño pueblo llamado "La Cumbrecita", éste se encuentra ubicado en las Sierras de Córdoba, en el Valle de Calamuchita.
Es uno de los pueblos que está en lo más alto de todo lo que visitamos, pues se encuentra a 1450 metros sobre el nivel del mar y es muy reconocido por ser el único pueblo peatonal de Argentina 🙂
The day before we had stayed at a campsite near the city of Villa Carlos Paz and chatting with the locals they recommended us to visit La Cumbrecita. The whole route was very comfortable with excellent roads on the highway but when we arrived we started to climb the hill where the town is located.
When we arrived at the entrance we realized that it was a pedestrian town.... All cars must be parked at the entrance of the town in an exclusive space and from there start walking.
El día anterior habíamos permanecido en un camping cerca de la ciudad de Villa Carlos Paz y charlando con los habitantes del lugar nos recomendaron visitar La Cumbrecita. Toda la ruta fue muy cómoda con excelentes vías en autopista pero al llegar empezamos a subir el cerro dónde se encuentra ubicado el pueblo.
Al llegar a la entrada nos dimos cuenta de que era un pueblo peatonal... Todos los autos deben estacionarse en la entrada del pueblo en un espacio exclusivo para ello y desde allí empezar a caminar.
It is very interesting to mention that this town has a lot of German influence because it arose from the arrival of migrants in the 40's, who came to vacation and settled down. Thus creating the first crops and first pine trees, food sales and first housing constructions, all with the characteristics of Germanic villages. This reminded me of a town in Venezuela called "Colonia Tovar", it has a lot of similarities although they are different.
The constructions and architecture in this town are simply amazing and beautiful fitting perfectly between the nature and the landscapes offered by the Sierras de Córdoba.
Es muy interesante mencionar que este pueblo tiene muchísima influencia alemana pues surgió de la llegada de migrantes en la década de los años 40, quienes llegaron a vacacionar y se establecieron. Creando así las primeras siembras y primeros pinos, ventas de comida y primeras construcciones de viviendas, todo esto con las características de los pueblos germánicos. Esto me hizo acordar a un pueblo en Venezuela llamado "Colonia Tovar", tiene mucha similitud aunque son diferentes.
Las construcciones y arquitectura en este pueblo son simplemente asombrosas y hermosas encajando perfectamente entre la naturaleza y los paisajes que ofrecen las Sierras de Córdoba.
The cobblestone streets and sloping roads accompanied with the rivers that run through the town, the vegetation and houses with this Germanic style is very pleasant to the eye and it seems to be in another country, in fact. We visited in the summer season but even so the temperatures dropped at night.
According to what I read it is a town that has a lot of seismic activity as has the province of Cordoba as a whole but with very low degrees according to the scales.
During our walk we decided to stop at an emblematic restaurant called "Cucu Haus", where we ordered food, surprising me by the quality of their products, varied menus and very excellent prices to be in such a touristy place.
Las calles empedradas y caminos inclinados acompañados con los ríos que pasan por el pueblo, la vegetación y casas con este estilo germánico es muy agradable a la vista y pareciera estar en otro país, de hecho. Realizamos la visita en la temporada de verano pero aún así las temperaturas bajaban al llegar la noche.
Según lo que leí es un pueblo que tiene mucha actividad sísmica cómo lo tiene la provincia de Córdoba en su totalidad pero con grados muy bajos según las escalas.
Durante nuestro paseo decidimos parar en un emblemático restaurante llamado "Cucu Haus", en el cual ordenamos comida, sorprendiendome por la calidad de sus productos, variados menús y muy excelentes precios para estar en un lugar tan turístico.
On the other hand it is necessary to mention that the whole town is full of stores and bars where craft beer is one of its prince products and I must say that it is impressively good. In addition many other stores selling handicrafts and local sweets at a very affordable price.
As one of the pictures I share with you says. The town of La Cumbrecita is declared an environmental protection zone, for this reason it is not allowed to camp, pull up any kind of flowers or plants or make bonfires, among other activities.
Por otra parte es necesario mencionar que todo el pueblo está lleno de tiendas y bares donde la cerveza artesanal es uno de sus príncipes productos y debo decir que es impresionantemente buena. Además muchas otras tiendas de artesanías y dulces autóctonos a un precio bastante accesible.
Cómo lo dice una de las fotos que les comparto. El pueblo de La Cumbrecita es declarado zona de protección ambiental, por éste motivo no se permite acampar, arrancar ningún tipo de flores o plantas ni hacer fogatas, entre otras actividades.
This is undoubtedly one of the most iconic places I have visited in the province of Cordoba, lots of culture, tranquility, nature and attractions despite being a very small town the stay here was wonderful. Éste es sin duda uno de los lugares más icónicos que he visitado en la provincia de Córdoba, mucha cultura, tranquilidad, naturaleza y atractivos a pesar de ser un pueblo muy pequeño la estadía acá fue maravillosa.
