Hello everybody in community! This is my first post here and I'm so exciting and happy to be the part of this "travel lovers group"! 😃 Today I want to show you some event in our city.
The Traditional Chinese Lantern Festival is organized each year at this time when Chinese Lunar New Year is traditionally celebrated. This "lantern exhibition" can be visited at two locations in Serbia - Belgrade (Sava Promenade) and Novi Sad (Limanski Park) from January 31th to February 13tth. It's being held for the fourth time in Serbia, organized by the "Balkanopolis Center for Modern Tradition" and sponsored by the government of the Republic of Serbia, the provincial government of Vojvodina and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Serbia, with the support of the City of Belgrade and the City of Novi Sad.

This is my second visit to the festival, but unfortunately I have never been to the grand opening of the festival, accompanied by a concert by Balkanopolis and stunning fireworks. Lantern start lit every day at 17:00 (5pm) and admission is free in both cities. Both times I was there, there were a lot of people, especially parents with kids.
Two Chinese dragons, an animal kingdom, magical deer, magic fish and many other light installations have been set up in Limanski Park. The festival was extended due to the great interest of the citizens.
