This was one of my favorite places in New Zealand.
The "Hot water Beach".
It is a place where warm water comes out just a few centimeters under the sand on the beach. But you can just reach it, when there is ebb.
Thats why the people get there very early, grab a shovel and made their own pools for a few moments. When flood is coming, all pools are gone till next ebb.
The warm water comes from hot springs and normaly you can´t see it. It was a bit like dig for gold. Not every hole was a spot, so you had to make a few to find it.
Wow, I loved this. Sad that we had to drive away from that place.
