CANAIMA NATIONAL PARK, VENEZUELA [EN] // PARQUE NACIONAL CANAIMA, VENEZUELA

Today I want to share with you one of the most fabulous experiences I have had here in Venezuela, I think it has been undoubtedly the best of all so far and I would love to repeat it, it is a trip I made a few years ago, to Canaima.

Canaima is a national park that belongs to the State of Bolivar, Venezuela, is characterized by being surrounded by tepuis, waterfalls, and impressive waterfalls, among them, the highest in the world which is the Angel Falls.

As I told you in my previous post, where I told you about La Orchila Island, my younger sister is a pilot in the Military Aviation, and thanks to this, I had the opportunity to also visit the Canaima National Park, since we left on a scheduled flight to this destination, departing from the Air Base El Libertador (BAEL).

It was a Thursday day I remember, we left in the morning hours from BAEL to Puerto Ordaz, where they had to refuel, the flight was about 1 hour to there, after refueling we left from there to Canaima National Park, it took us about 40 minutes to get there.

It was the coolest flight of all, the view from where you go all the way is the best, I am a nature lover, the landscapes, the sunrise, sunset, everything, I love to appreciate it, live it and feel it, it is something that fills me and makes me happy, and everything you can see from the air is Waoo... literally, it has no comparison or explanation, you have to live it because it is indescribable, I feel that I would fall short trying to explain it.

Although the trip was not a tour, militarily speaking, it is inevitable to go there and not visit the tepuis and waterfalls that are there, the fauna and vegetation that make the park even more wonderful.

We arrived at the beautiful Waku Lodge lodge, located on the banks of the park's lagoon, where they have canoes and a view of an immense waterfall. They have macaws and toucans that you can even touch, the food is delicious and the service is first class.

Canaima is the most fabulous tourist site that I have known here in Venezuela, and I hope to have the opportunity to go again, I recommend it with my eyes closed.

I was fortunate that they gave us a tour of some areas, we saw tepuis with their tops flattened, from very close, waterfalls and the imposing Angel Falls, it is ineffable, passing near there, it's amazing.

As always I will leave some pictures here so you can enjoy a bit of the scenery, wishing from the bottom of my heart that everyone has the opportunity to attend this park at some point in their lives.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de las experiencias mas fabulosas que he tenido acá en Venezuela, creo que ha sido sin duda la mejor de todas hasta el momento y me encantaría repetirla nuevamente, se trata de un viaje que realice hace algunos años ya, a Canaima.

Canaima es un parque nacional que pertenece al Estado Bolívar, Venezuela, se caracteriza por estar rodeado de tepuyes, cataratas y caídas de aguas impresionantes, dentro de ellas, la mas alta del mundo que es el Salto Ángel.

Como les comente en mi post anterior, donde les hable acerca de la Isla La Orchila, mi hermana menor es piloto de la Aviación Militar, y gracias a ello, tuve la oportunidad de visitar también el parque nacional Canaima, ya que salimos en un vuelo programado a este destino, partiendo de la Base Aérea El Libertador (BAEL).

Fue un día Jueves recuerdo, salimos en horas de la mañana de BAEL hasta Puerto Ordaz, donde debían abastecer combustible, el vuelo fue de aproximadamente 1 hora hasta allí, luego de abastecer partimos de allí con destino al parque nacional Canaima, nos demoramos en llegar 40min aproximadamente.

Fue el vuelo mas genial de todos, la vista desde que vas en todo el trayecto es lo máximo, yo de por si soy amante de la naturaleza, los paisajes, el amanecer, anochecer, todo, me encanta poder apreciar eso, vivirlo y sentirlo, es algo que me llena y me hace realmente feliz, y todo lo que puedes ver desde el aire, es Waoo... literalmente, no tiene comparación ni explicación, hay que vivirlo, porque es indescriptible, siento que me quedaría corta tratando de explicarlo.

Aunque el viaje no era de paseo, militarmente hablando, es inevitable ir hasta allá y no recorrer los tepuyes y cataratas que allí se encuentran, la fauna y la vegetación que tienen hacen al parque aun mas maravilloso.

Llegamos a la posada Waku Lodge, preciosa, se encuentra ubicada a orillas de la laguna del parque, donde tienen canoas y con vista a una inmensa catarata. Tienen guacamayas y tucanes que incluso puedes tocar, la comida es riquísima y la atencion de primera.

Canaima es el sitio turístico mas fabuloso que he conocido acá en Venezuela, y espero tener la oportunidad de volver a ir, de verdad que se los recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.

Tuve la dicha de que nos dieron un recorrido por algunas zonas, vimos tepuyes con sus cimas totalmente aplanadas, desde muy cerca, cataratas y el imponente Salto Angel, es realmente inefable, pasar cerca de allí, es increíble.
