Who else loves to travel, discover new cultures and try new dishes? For me it is one of the best things I enjoy doing, usually I always travel with my sister, but this time I had great company and the truth is that it was great. In addition to helping me carry my bags that were a bit heavy. This trip has totally changed my life, almost everything is new for me from the beginning until it is the day to return home.

El viaje comenzó cuando Wilkins me busca en casa en un Uber, eran eso de las 5am hora venezolana y ya íbamos de camino a San Antonio, la frontera con Cúcuta, Colombia. Yo estaba nerviosa porque debíamos pasar el puente y el vuelo era a las 7:51 AM hora colombiana. Estoy feliz porque todo salió bien, de camino unas cuantas paradas dónde nos pedían los documentos de identidad pero al final llegamos a San Antonio y luego caminar hasta el puente, pasarlo y tomar un taxi de camino al aeropuerto. Todo estuvo siempre de nuestro lado.

The trip began when Wilkins looked for me at home in an Uber, it was around 5am Venezuelan time and we were already on our way to San Antonio, the border with Cúcuta, Colombia. I was nervous because we had to cross the bridge and the flight was at 7:51 AM Colombian time. I'm happy because everything went well, on the way a few stops where they asked us for identity documents but in the end we got to San Antonio and then we walked to the bridge, passed it and took a taxi on the way to the airport. Everything was always on our side.

Una vez llegamos al aeropuerto, estuvimos atentos de nuestro vuelo, estaban con nosotros en todo momento el hermano de Wilkins y su mamá, por supuesto para despedirlo. Fué un poco triste, ver la despedida. Mientras se hacía la hora de embarcar fuimos mi amigo y yo a comprar desayuno en un taxi para comer todos afuera ya que la familia de Wilkins no podría entrar hasta esa área. Llegamos a Las Américas y compramos pasteles, había gran variedad y muy baratos, a tan solo 1400 pesos colombianos, luego regresamos al aeropuerto para comer e ir directo a embarcar

Once we got to the airport, we were attentive to our flight, Wilkins's brother and his mother were with us at all times, of course to see him off. It was a bit sad, to see the goodbye. While boarding time was getting underway, my friend and I went to buy breakfast in a taxi to eat all out since the Wilkins family couldn't get into that area. We arrived in Las Américas and bought cakes, there was a great variety and very cheap, at only 1400 Colombian pesos, then we returned to the airport to eat and go straight to boarding.

Directo a embarcar. Yo pasé primero porque mi puesto era de los últimos y los últimos siempre entramos de primero al avión, así que entré y esperé a mi amigo. Una vez montada en el avión, Wilkins entra y va a mi puesto para ver si me sentía bien y la verdad si, pero quería que él estuviese a mi lado, así que la señora de al lado, escuchó y se ofreció amablemente a dejarlo a él a mi lado, así que estuve todo el tiempo con el. En avión de Cúcuta a Medellín es una hora, si vas en bus son unas 16 horas, puedes conseguir vuelos económicos casi al precio del pasaje en bus, así que mejor en avión, mil veces.

By plane from Cúcuta to Medellín it is an hour, if you go by bus it is about 16 hours, you can get cheap flights almost at the price of the bus ticket, so better by plane, a thousand times.

Cuando aterrizamos en Medellín, salimos del aeropuerto, allí aprecian algunas fotos de el aeropuerto, es muy grande, hace mucho frío creo que es porque es a las afueras de Medellín como tal y está muy bien decorado. Salimos del aeropuerto preguntando dónde tomábamos el bus a San Diego que cuesta unos 13 mil pesos, de allí tomas un Uber o taxi al lugar donde vas y sale mucho más económico ya que un carro particular puede cobrarte hasta unos 100 mil pesos a tu destino, la idea siempre era ahorrar lo más posible.

When we land in Medellín, we leave the airport, there you can see some photos of the airport, it is very big, it is very cold I think it is because it is on the outskirts of Medellín as such and it is very well decorated. We left the airport asking where we took the bus to San Diego that costs about 13 thousand pesos, from there you take an Uber or taxi to the place where you are going and it is much cheaper since a private car can charge you up to about 100 thousand pesos to your destination, the idea was always to save as much as possible.

Llegamos a San Diego y allí nos estaba esperando José, quien nos paseó por un centro comercial de este mismo sitio y el cual es muy bonito, muy bien decorado y con muchas cosas para ver. La verdad es que la pasamos increíble y pude acompañar a José a ver algunas cosas que debía comprar para el apartamento. Esto fué todo por hoy, espero les haya gustado, les debo una segunda parte.
