Canaima National Park in Venezuela is a pride for humanity. It is the essence of the planet, where you see the birth of the rivers, where millenary formations can be seen in front of you and your skin stands up to so many wonders together.

It is not easy to get there but one day we talked about it as a family and we decided to go for the first days of January 2010 as a way to start the year well.
The distance for the first stage of the trip would be 380 Km more or less between 5 and 6 hours due to the inconvenience of the road to get from Sucre state to Bolivar state.
Once in Ciudad Bolivar we had to take a small plane at the airport that would take us to Canaima flying over incredible landscapes during almost one hour of flight.

No es fácil llegar hasta allí pero un día lo conversamos en familia y nos propusimos ir para los primeros días de enero del 2010 como una forma de comenzar bien el año.
La distancia para la primera etapa del viaje serían 380 Km más o menos entre 5 y 6 horas debido a los inconvenientes del camino para llegar desde el estado Sucre al estado Bolivar.
Una vez en Ciudad Bolivar debíamos tomar un pequeño avión en el aeropuerto que nos llevaría hasta Canaima sobrevolando paisajes increíbles durante casi una hora de vuelo.

Throughout the course of the Earth's history, the plateau eroded, and tepuis were formed.

Canaima's lagoon is beautiful with its rust-colored waters due to the minerals it contains, which give it that dark reddish tone.
The sand however has a soft pink color, due to the effect of the quartz.

Here we went to the inner side of the waterfall to perceive another point of view and live a new experience for us.

The next day we had to go to Anatoliy Island also known as the Island of Orchids.

The journey was quite long. At times we had to walk among the rocks and the guides had to load the canoes to advance on the stones and at times sailing on the river in curiara. We would go on a planned excursion to enjoy other landscapes.

During the excursion we could observe exotic fruits and flowers.

Every space my eyes saw was a miracle, and a gift to be preserved.

It was a different experience. We slept in hammocks and ate what the guides prepared for us. It was meat from some animal that no one identified as having been pierced by a stick but it was very good.

Underneath a very large caney there were about 50 hammocks and everyone chose their own. At night a big storm broke out and in some places the water was leaking. I would still repeat the experience which was unforgettable.
