Hello everyone! and as promised, today I came to show you a little bit about my great weekend trip to Zakopane in Poland, and as I did, I also want to make you fall in love with this amazing place. Today in this post I only show you the center of Zakopane, later I will show you some beautiful mountains or parks that we visited in this place, so be sure to visit my blog so you don't miss it.
Salimos algo temprano de casa, puesto que eran varias horas de viaje desde Sosnowiec (más de 3 horas aproximadamente), además les cuento que también tardamos un poco más puesto que hubo un accidente en el camino y perdimos en la cola más de una hora, sin embargo eso no fue motivo para que el primer día fueramos a conocer un poco de Zakopane.
We left home a little early, since it was several hours of travel from Sosnowiec (more than 3 hours approximately), and we also took a little longer since there was an accident on the way and we lost more than an hour in the queue, but that was not a reason for us to get to know a little of Zakopane on the first day.
Mientras más nos acercabamos, se empezaban a ver las grandes y hermosas montañas, y yo solo estaba muy emocionada porque ya había escuchado sobre este lugar y tenía muchas ganas de conocerlo. Pawel solo conducía y por supuesto escuchaba mi espectacular play list jajaja. Finalmente para cuando llego la noche, estabamos sanos y salvos en nuestro hotel arreglandonos para ir al centro de Zakopane para comer algo porque por supuesto teníamos mucha hambre.
The closer we got, the bigger and more beautiful mountains started to come into view, and I was just very excited because I had already heard about this place and I really wanted to see it. Pawel was just driving and of course listening to my spectacular play list hahaha. Finally by the time the evening came, we were safe and sound in our hotel getting ready to go to the center of Zakopane to eat something because of course we were very hungry.
Ah olvidaba contarles que este paseo fue planeado gracias a que el viernes pasado fue día de la independia de Polonia entonces como muchas personas no trabajaban este día, teniamos un "largo" fin de semana para disfrutar. También les cuento que a solo unos pasos de nuestro hotel, podíamos tomar el autobús que nos llevaría hasta al centro. Entonces fuimos hasta allí.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that this tour was planned because last Friday was Poland's Independence Day, so since many people were off work on that day, we had a "long" weekend to enjoy. I also tell you that just a few steps from our hotel, we could take the bus that would take us to the center. So we went there.
Como vieron habían varias banderas de Polonia colgadas en muchos lugares por la razón que mencioné antes, además también podiamos ver muchas luces decorando la fachada de algunos restaurantes que los hacía lucir tan elegantes.
As you saw there were several Polish flags hanging in many places for the reason I mentioned before, plus we could also see many lights decorating the facade of some restaurants which made them look so elegant.
Habían muchas personas en el centro caminando como nosotros, también muchos restaurantes y casas o edificios lindos para ver, y un centro comercial. Nosotros estabamos buscando un restaurante de pizza que encontramos en google y por supuesto también haciendo algunas fotos para enseñarles.
There were many people in the center walking like us, also many restaurants and nice houses or buildings to see, and a shopping mall. We were looking for a pizza restaurant that we found on google and of course also taking some pictures to show you.
Esta era una noche fría (muy fría para mí que vengo de Venezuela), pero no tan fría como las siguientes noches para nosotros aquí, incluso expulsabamos vaho o humo de la boca por el frío que estaba haciendo y era muy divertido para mí porque solo había visto esto en las películas y ahora lo estaba viviendo.
This was a cold night (very cold for me coming from Venezuela), but not as cold as the following nights for us here, we were even expelling mist or smoke from our mouths because of the cold it was getting and it was very funny for me because I had only seen this in the movies and now I was living it.
Les cuento también que algunos restaurantes son muy pequeños, tan pequeños que solo tienen dos o tres mesas adentro y más mesas afuera pero con el frío nadie se atrevía a cenar afuera, por supuesto nosotros tampoco lo hicimos y como esta pizzeria que estabamos buscando estaba ocupada adentro, entonces decidimos irnos y esta noche comer algo rápido (en Mcdonalds) y al siguiente día visitariamos este restaurante de nuevo para ver si teníamos suerte.
I also tell you that some restaurants are very small, so small that they only have two or three tables inside and more tables outside but with the cold weather nobody dared to dine outside, of course we didn't either and as this pizzeria we were looking for was busy inside, so we decided to leave and tonight eat something fast (at Mcdonalds) and the next day we would visit this restaurant again to see if we had any luck.
Fue muy genial caminar por aquí pues me gustan las calles empedradas y además que se siente mucha vida en este lugar. Ahora les dejo una foto mía en el grande e iluminado letrero de Zakopane que por supuesto también está en el centro.
It was very cool to walk around here because I like the cobblestone streets and you can feel a lot of life in this place. Now I leave you a picture of me in the big and illuminated sign of Zakopane which of course is also in the center.
Hay un museo de figuras de cera, pero el viaje a Zakopane fue largo que decidimos no visitarlo aunque realmente parecía muy divertido. Aquí en el centro también encuentras muchas tiendas de souvenirs con algunas ovejas jajaja.
There is a museum of wax figures, but the trip to Zakopane was so long that we decided not to visit it even though it really looked like a lot of fun. Here in the center you also find many souvenir stores with some sheep hahaha.
Así que llegó la hora de volver a casa, pues necesitabamos descansar para subir la gran montaña al día siguiente. Por supuesto también en autobús, entonces compramos nuestro boletos en la máquina en la parada o incluso podíamos hacerlo en el mismo autobús, lo cual me parecía excelente y pagando solo 3 zlotys por cada boleto, lo mejor es que sabes cuando va a venir el próximo autobús y como todavía tardaba algunos minutos, nosotros decidimos sentarnos un poco a esperar ya que estabamos cansados luego de caminar bastante en el hermoso centro de Zakopane.
So it was time to go back home, as we needed to rest to climb the big mountain the next day. Of course also by bus, so we bought our tickets at the machine at the bus stop or we could even do it on the bus itself, which I thought was excellent and paying only 3 zlotys for each ticket, the best thing is that you know when the next bus is coming and as it still took a few minutes, we decided to sit a little bit and wait as we were tired after walking quite a bit in the beautiful center of Zakopane.
