Hello everyone! after visiting many beautiful parks in Poland where we saw a lot of nature, we also wanted to take a day to walk around the city, so we went to a city very close to Sosnowiec called Katowice located only about 25 minutes away or a little more or less depending on the means of transport you go, although I had already been there but only to go to certain specific places, this time we decided to walk and learn more about it.
Decidimos ir a eso de medio día, entonces teniamos mucha hambre para cuando llegamos a Katowice, así que a Pawel le pareció buena idea ir al Centro Comercial Silesia para comer algo allí y además para que yo lo conociera, pero entonces tuvimos que caminar un poco desde la parada de autobus, y eso hicimos.
We decided to go around noon, so we were very hungry by the time we arrived in Katowice, so Pawel thought it was a good idea to go to the Silesia Shopping Center to get something to eat there and also for me to get to know it, but then we had to walk a bit from the bus stop, so that's what we did.
Una de las cosas que llamó mi atención en esta ciudad es la gran cantidad de grandes edificios que hay, de hecho vimos uno que era muy ancho y creo que es una edificio muy viejo en Katowice, también y finalmente conocí el edificio donde trabaja Pawel pero este solo lo ví muy rápido desde el autobús.
One of the things that caught my attention in this city is the great amount of big buildings there, in fact we saw one that was very wide and I think it is a very old building in Katowice, also and finally I met the building where Pawel works but this one I only saw very quickly from the bus.
Ah y el Spodek, que es pabellón o un lugar para deporte y entretenimiento, tiene forma de platillo lo que lo hace muy interesante, de hecho la traducción de su nombre es platillo en español y espero algún día poder conocerlo por dentro, esta vez solo vimos el exterior de día pero escuché que de noche pone luces muy bonitas que lo llenan de mucho color.
Oh and the Spodek, which is a pavilion or a place for sports and entertainment, is shaped like a saucer which makes it very interesting, in fact the translation of its name is saucer in Spanish and I hope someday to get to know it inside, this time we only saw the outside during the day but I heard that at night they put very nice lights that fill it with lots of color.
Pero ahora bien, llegó la hora de comer para luego continuar con el paseo en la ciudad. Así que llegamos al grande centro comercial Silesia, pero el paseo en este fue rápido, así que solo les muestro el exterior y nuestro deliciosa comida en McDonalds para ahora ir a la plaza de mercado de Katowice.
But now it was time to have lunch and then continue with the walk in the city. So we arrived at the big shopping center Silesia, but the walk in this one was fast, so I just show you the outside and our delicious meal at McDonalds to now go to the market square of Katowice.
Aunque el sol estaba radiante, yo tenía bastante frío este día y ahora espero el frío invierno para saber si puedo sobrevivir a él jajaja, ok, es broma, seguro que sí. En la plaza de mercado vimos un hermoso letrero con el nombre de la ciudad, quería una foto allí de mí pero el reflejo del sol no ayudaba mucho, entonces solo hice fotos a todo lo hermoso que veía allí.
Although the sun was shining, I was quite cold this day and now I'm waiting for the cold winter to know if I can survive it hahaha, ok, just kidding, sure I can. At the market square we saw a beautiful sign with the name of the city, I wanted a picture there of me but the reflection of the sun didn't help much, so I just took pictures of everything beautiful I saw there.
Me gusta que en muchos lugares de Polonia hay tumbonas para relajarse, en este lugar no solo hay tumbonas si no también hay bancas para estar tranquilo viendo el agua o quiza tomando algo o solo conversando como nosotros. También está un monumento a los Scouts que es la foto de portada de este blog, y que le da un toque a esta hermosa plaza que tengo entendido en navidad se ve increíblemente hermosa llena de muchas luces.
I like that in many places in Poland there are loungers to relax, in this place there are not only loungers but also benches to be quiet watching the water or maybe having a drink or just chatting like us. There is also a monument to the Scouts which is the cover photo of this blog, and that gives a touch to this beautiful square that I understand at Christmas time looks incredibly beautiful full of lights.
Estuvimos algunos minutos allí observando, por cierto también vimos el viejo edificio del Museo de Silesia, así que Katowice también está llena de historia. Por ahora, volvemos a casa un poco cansados así que tomamos una bebida energética que me gustó mucho su sabor, pero espero que les haya gustado nuestro paseo en esta ciudad, y no se pueden perder mi próximo paseo por las montañas de Polonia que estoy segura les va a encantar. We spent some minutes there watching, by the way we also saw the old building of the Silesian Museum, so Katowice is also full of history. For now, we are going back home a bit tired so we had an energy drink that I really liked its taste, but I hope you liked our walk in this city, and you can't miss my next walk in the mountains of Poland that I'm sure you will love.
