Have you visited Siquijor? What stories did you hear about this place?
Well, let me take you back to the time I visited this majestic place.
While I was thinking about what to blog, I look at my photos on my Facebook and on my phone and remember the time when I visited this beautiful place of Siquijor.
At first, I was hesitant to visit the place, a lot of what-ifs and buts, but I'm a risk-taker and I said to myself let's get it on. 😁🤣😂
Salagdoong Beach
Look at the beach, isn't it inviting?
The moment I laid my eyes on the place I fell in love. The people were very friendly and chatty. They always look forward to seeing visitors and of course, it will be in the best interest for an income, the more visitor the better.
We stayed at White Villa Resort in San Juan Siquijor. We paid around 2,500 pesos ($49.20). Hope they have the same rate. But what I love about the room is it is spacious and I can feel the wind blowing on my face, to be honest, no need for the aircon nor electric fan.
After exploring the Salgdoong beach we decided to roam around and found out that there are some falls too in Siquijor.
We googled it and went there the next day and were pretty excited to see it.
We paid 50 PHP (USD 0.98) for the entrance and 100 PHP (USD 1.97) for the tour guide.
Free motorcycle parking.
Cambugahay falls
Sorry have to cover the face but it's me.
A part of my travel always includes visiting or getting a peek of the church.
This is a way of me saying thank you for the safe travel. I came across an old-fashioned and ancient-looking church.
This is the Lazi Church and Convent dedicated to St. Isidore Labradore.
I haven't had the chance to see what's inside but you can check out this link for a quick visual tour.

It was such an amazing time during my visit, I was in awe with the people, the place, the beach, and 3 days were not enough but we were able to roam around the Island and the saddest part is on our way home because I fell in love with this place and hoping to come back.
By the way, this is how we get there from Cebu;
1. Take a bus from Southbus bound to Bato via Liloan. (175 to 200 PHP)
2. From Liloan port take a ferry to Dumaguete. (65-100 PHP)
3. From Dumaguete to Larena Port Siquijor.
(250 PHP)
On our way home we took the Ferry which is Oceanjet.
1. Oceanjet via Tagbilaran Bohol.
The fare was a bit pricey (1,020 pesos).
Please note that prices today may vary due to the pandemic. Always check to see if your travel budget is sufficient enough.
That's it for now, see you on my next blog.
