OMG my jaw dropped when I saw your pictures! This kind of snow cannot be experienced here in Hungary. If the precipitation comes from the south, the cold will leave, so it will be rain instead of snow. And when cold comes from the north, the moister air leaves. I would so love to hike in a place where you have been. My high mountain hiking boots are sitting in the closet, waiting for me to head out into the snowy mountains.
