Buenos Aires abre sus puertas para una amplia gama de entretenimientos, abarcando todas las edades. Es lo bueno de ésta ciudad, es casi imposible aburrirse y lo mejor de todo, aún no hemos paseado por los lugares turísticos ¿La razón? Tal etapa la hemos dejado reposar para vivir la ciudad en su máxima expresión. Una vez que comienzan los recorridos, difícilmente puede uno parar. Así las cosas, estamos esperando que nuestro hijo

Buenos Aires opens its doors to a wide range of entertainment, covering all ages. That's the great thing about this city, it's almost impossible to get bored and best of all, we haven't even walked around the tourist attractions yet. We have let this stage rest in order to experience the city at its best. Once the tours start, you can hardly stop. As it is, we are waiting for our son
Una de los movimientos que hemos hecho es aumentar la cantidad de actividad física, mediante largas caminatas dentro del barrio Palermo. Sus calles se prestan para ello y es una delicia ir descubriendo los rincones que ofrece. Jamás podremos asegurar nos hemos vuelto baquianos de la zona, pero tenemos una idea clara donde nos encontramos. El sábado fuimos a jugar Padel en un local llamado Cabildo Padel. La cancha queda en un segundo piso y es al aire libre. El sol nos castigó duramente durante la hora y media contratada: jugamos de 2:30 p.m. a 4:00 p.m. y solo ganamos uno de tres partidos; sin embargo, sirvió para mover el esqueleto y seguir en el plan que nos hemos propuesto. Hubo una balanza de peso en las instalaciones la cual sirvió para confirmar nuestro avance en la ruta a un cuerpo más saludable.

One of the moves we have made is to increase the amount of physical activity, through long walks within the Palermo neighborhood. Its streets lend themselves to it and it is a delight to go discovering the corners it offers. We can never say for sure that we have become locals of the area, but we have a clear idea of where we are. On Saturday we went to play Padel at a place called Cabildo Padel. The court is on the second floor and it is outdoors. The sun punished us hard during the hour and a half we played from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and we only won one of three games; however, it served to move the skeleton and follow the plan we have proposed. There was a weigh-in at the facility that served to confirm our progress on the road to a healthier body.
En la noche de ese mismo día, fuimos invitados a un "baby shower" de un amigo de nuestro hijo, quien vivió un tiempo en casa y es casi como otro hijo para nosotros. Nunca había asistido a uno y éste al menos resultó muy entretenido. Durante la noche, los anfitriones nos retaron a jugar y parecíamos niños riendo e intentando completar las tareas. Nos dividieron en equipos al azar y nos tocó el verde, mi esposa le tocó el equipo azul y nuestro hijo quedó en el mío. Luego de jugar cerca de seis veces, nuestro equipo ganó la noche y nos dieron varios regalitos y chuches. El domingo nos fuimos almorzar a La Cabrera, un lugar de carnes en Plaza Serrano que nos habían recomendado. Y he aquí donde les dejo un aprendizaje, para cuando consideren comer en cualquier restaurante de la ciudad:

In the evening of that same day, we were invited to a baby shower for a friend of our son's, who lived at home for a while and is almost like another son to us. I had never attended one before and this one at least turned out to be very entertaining. During the evening, the hosts challenged us to play games and we looked like children laughing and trying to complete the tasks. We were randomly divided into teams and we got the green team, my wife got the blue team and our son got mine. After playing about six times, our team won the night and we were given various gifts and goodies. On Sunday we went to lunch at La Cabrera, a steak place in Plaza Serrano that had been recommended to us. And here's where I leave you with a learning experience, for when you consider eating at any restaurant in the city:
La movida de la comida en la capital del tango es diferente a nuestros países caribeños. Acá cierran en las tardes cerca de las cuatro y vuelven abrir en la noche a las 19:00. La gran mayoría lo hace y es muy difícil conseguir alguno abierto, a menos que sea de comida chatarra. De allí la necesidad de acomodar horarios y en muchos de ellos solo aceptan reservas telefónicas. Así las cosas, si no desea pasar un mal rato consiguiendo una mesa, pregunte a un baquiano de la ciudad o ayúdese con Google Maps, aunque ésta última aplicación no es muy exacta con los horarios y los lugares. Parece que hay una alta rotación de negocios en la urbe y puede que encuentre el local cerrado o con otro tipo de servicio, dada la falta de actualización de la aplicación ¿Qué les parece? Los leo.

The food scene in the capital of tango is different from our Caribbean countries. Here they close in the afternoons around four o'clock and reopen at night at 19:00. Most of them do and it is very difficult to find one open, unless it is a junk food restaurant. Hence the need to accommodate schedules and many of them only accept reservations by phone. So, if you don't want to have a hard time getting a table, ask a local baquiano or use Google Maps, although the latter application is not very accurate with schedules and locations. There seems to be a high turnover of businesses in the city and you may find the venue closed or otherwise serviced, given the lack of updating the app What do you think? I read them.
