Thus, convenience and accessibility are also very important, mostly if you don't have a car and just wanted to rely on public transportation which is suitable for the majority.
In this blog, we'll take you to the main city center of Zaandam, where you'll be able to see a fun-loving vibe. Something new and exciting places to explore, take a breather, and be part of your signature experiences as one of your travel diaries.
Zaandam,Noord-Holland, Netherlands Fascinatingly Modern City Steeped in History and Culture
Zaandam is a city and part of the province of Noord-Holland, Netherlands, it isn't far from Amsterdam Central Train Station, it would take you 12 to 13 minutes by train to get there, the travel cost is inexpensive which is only $4.50 one-way.
Zaandam is well-known for its Zaanse style which refers to the old Dutch houses with a wooden facade in green and white appearance.
Much of a Dutchness: The Inntel Hotels is a 4-star hotel that is just a few minutes' walk from the train station. Their pediments, windows, gables, and roofs pulling and pushing at my eyes. It's unbelievable that this 12-storey structure is hard to take in. it feels like living in a wonderland, a madcap fairy-tale of a building.
In the Inntel's there are 160 rooms, a restaurant, conference space, reception, wellness center with a fitness gym, and a swimming pool. Everyone gets to live in a little house rather than an anonymous space. This hotel is, at heart, a rational building with an interior that showcases its Zaans history that is carefully planned.
For more details, do visit this InntelHotels.nl for further information, bookings, and reservations. Intell Hotels' check-in time is 2 pm and checkout time is 12noon.
Such iconic and quirky atmosphere of Zaandam right when you stepped out of the station, you will see mind-blogging architecture that stands out in a captivating view of the Zaanse atmosphere. As a traveler, you can't resist going out on this place because it is undeniably charming as the city center is the main highlight.
What not to excite about when you see this fantastic place?😍❤️ This picture stands out in the municipal hall of Zaandam and the small cafes and restaurants in the right corner. Impressive Architectural Details That Is Picture Perfect!
A surprising feeling when you walk along the Gedempte Gracht, the ambiance will leave you a 'Wow Factor'. We can assure you that you'll definitely have a good time here, do expect that the city has tons of restaurants, cafes, shopping stores, entertainment spots, bars, souvenir shops and hotels to name a few.
We highly suggest you visit here in the daytime as most of the shops are open, plus you'll have more time to enjoy and wander around the area whenever you feel like.
You wont get bored here as it is a family-friendly destination.
Where to eat?
If you are up to something refreshing and healthy then go to EAZIE, located right beside the Innhotels. Eazie is an Asian restaurant that provides a delicious healthy menu from their wok meals, wraps, budget meal, soups, salads, smoothies, and more.
I ordered a smoothie drink because the ingredients are so fresh, mixed with fruits and veggies, perfect to beat the summer heat. Health is always a priority which gives a great value of money. The smoothie is quite expensive, it costs almost $6, but happy tummy for sure!
Zaandam Weekend Market
Walking in Zaandam Weekend Market is by far one of our favorite parts to share. Located just below the Zaandam Bridge behind the HEMA Store 5 minutes walk from the train station. Varieties of things you can see and buy from fresh food such as seafood, cheese, fruits and vegetables, meat products, takeaway snacks, clothing, flowers, butcher stand, etc., There are vans, food stalls, food trucks displayed of both local and international products.
I and my husband both love the food market, not only you got the chance to try many foods and buy more goods but also the cost is reasonable and isn't expensive when you compare it to buying stuff in the store or restaurants.
The weekend market is open every Thursday and Saturday from 8a.m until 5p.m.
Watch this 5-minute vlog uploaded in D.TUBE for you to find out how it looks like, went there late in the afternoon, and decided to take videos. We recommend you visit the weekend market earlier so you won't miss out the goods and useful stuff you probably want to buy.
Be thrilled to watch the video and expect to see wonderful building structure as I stroll around the place.
In addition, the Zaandam main city center is just a short walk, you wouldn't have a problem with the cost unless if you are tempted to go on shopping and eat a massive amount of food in a restaurant. 😆😅
