We visited El Sauzal couple of times (here is a post about the town itself and the casa del vino) but we never even knew about the Parque Los Lavaderos - it's basically a public spot to wash cloth in the olden days.
The entire park is set on a hill and has running water come down from it via little water ways, providing washing pools with constant fresh water. With the arrival of modern washing machines, nobody is washing there anymore. Now it's a neat little park with amazing views and vegetation and the running water cooling down the heat on even the hottest days on Tenerife.
