Today i would like to share experience of the one of the Ancient temple - The Lodheshwar Mahadev Mandir in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India, is a highly revered, ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is a ancient Shiva temple, built 1,000 years ago during the time of the Pandavas. It is said that if you come here and make a wish, Lord Mahadev will surely fulfill it.
The architecture of Mahadeva Temple is simple yet deeply traditional. This is the temple's entrance. When you visit early in the morning, you naturally feel a sense of devotion. I had heard a lot about the Mahadeva Temple, but I never had the opportunity to visit until today.
If you visit any temple in India, you will find local vendors outside selling incense, offerings, flowers, and everything you need; so, there is no need to worry if you have come from home empty-handed.
Local vendors selling prasad and flowers add a traditional charm to the place, making the experience even more authentic.
It is said that if we come on Mahashivratri or a Monday, there is so much a crowd that there isn't even a place to step, such an ancient and revered temple.
During Mahashivratri, temples often place multiple Shivlings in various areas to accommodate the massive influx of devotees. Since the divine energy is believed to be the same everywhere, worshiping any of these Shivlings is considered equally sacred.
Since the temple was built a thousand years ago, it has no fancy interior infrastructure; in India, temples depend on their sanctity and beliefs rather than just their architecture.
Although it is only 40 kilometers from my home, as said you cannot go there until God calls you. Finally, I have reached the Mahadev temple, which is highly renowned. I feel blessed and lucky after such a wonderful prayer and witnessing the divine presence. Lord Shiva always keep his grace upon me.
This is the main sanctum sanctorum of the temple where this Shiva Lingam is famous. I consider myself fortunate to have visited such an ancient temple and performed puja in the inner sanctum. I've visited many temples of Lord Shiva but due to so much crowd, I couldn't even see the Shivling, but here I performed puja with such peace that my heart is truly happy; it felt as if Mahadev himself blessed me.
My visit to Temple, was not just about seeking blessingsโit was about finding inner calm and reconnecting with myself. If you are ever in Lucknow, this temple is definitely worth visiting to connect yourself. Whether you are religious or simply seeking peace, this place has something special to offer. There are thousands of temple in the Lucknow but I must say get the opportunity to connect myself to spirituality.
Thankyou
