Among the Hindus, the Shakti peethas of Devi Sati are significant religious sites. One of these Shakti peethas is the famous Naina Devi Temple. This popular goddess temple is located in the Nainital town of Uttarakhand. It is located Northern side of Nainital lake covered with Green Lush Mountains. Whomsoever visit the Nainital for a trip, if the person is spiritual type, then might have a deep desire to visit the temple. This temple is always crowded with the tourist to seeks the blessings of Goddess Naina Devi.
In our Hindu religion it is believed that one does not go to the temple empty handed, one must take something for God.
There were some shops outside the temple from where you could take dupatta, prasad and incense sticks to offer Mata Rani.
Hindu mythology, Sati, the goddess and wife of lord Shiva, self-immolated in a sacrificial fire (yajna) to protest against her father, Daksha, who had insulted her husband Shiva. This act was a demonstration of her loyalty and love for Shiva. Lord Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra dismembered the body of Sati, Shiva's consort, into 51 pieces,These pieces fell at different locations on Earth, which then became the sacred sites known as Shakti Peethas. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths, where the eyes (naina) of Goddess Sati fell after her self-immolation.
In every state of India, everyone has their own way of dressing and eating, and the women in the mountains have their own way of living, People living in mountain is knowns as Pahadi so this art represents the respects to womens living mountain.

Radha - Krishna symbolises the divine love & Bond between them. So all the couples who come here pray to God that there should always be love in their couple like there is in the couple of Radha Krishna.
There is a tradition in Hindi that we definitely ring the bell when we go to the temple, so the people whose wishes are fulfilled here, they offer bell to God here.
And it is said that if you tie the string(red Cloth) praying your wish here then Mata Rani will definitely fulfill your wish.
Worshiping in the temple is not allowed anywhere, so two stand for burning the dhoop(incense) were kept by the temple administration where you can burn incense and chant mantras.
Inside the Naina Temple,there are many Peepal tree guards the temple and provides shade for pilgrims. Inside the temple,At the entrance there was Lord Hanuman stands guard and bestows blessings on the Goddess as we enter.
Goddess Sati was the wife of Lord Shiva, so a Shivling has also been there,Here you can offer water to Lord Shiva and ask for your wishes.
On the first floor there is a dashavtar temple (10 versions of Shiva). When you walk towards the temple from stairs,Temple is Adjacent to the lake. you will get to see the full view of Lake with beautiful mountains which is a very amazing and scenery view.
This temple was very clean as you can see in the picture and was completely modern.
These are idols of 10 types of Lord Shiva.
The environment is serene and natural beauty. It was super crowded and tourist place but still so calm and people maintained decorum and respected the sanctity of the place.
This temple is a popular tourist site since it is located near the lake and surrounded by lovely hills.
