Hoy os voy a mostrar mi visita a Vejer de la Frontera en Cádiz.
Today I am going to show you my visit to Vejer de la Frontera in Cádiz.
Vejer es un pueblo muy bonito y curioso de principio a fin.
Pueblo que se sitúa en lo alto de una montaña junto a la costa y preciosas playas del palmar y caños de meca.
Visitar Vejer es pasear por la historia con toques mozárabes y aires de luz.
Vejer is a very beautiful and curious town from beginning to end.
It is situated on the top of a mountain next to the coast and the beautiful beaches of El Palmar and Caños de Meca.
To visit Vejer is to walk through history with Mozarabic touches and light.
Su pueblo es completamente blanco, sus calles desprenden luz.
Su mirador nos muestra vistas impresionantes de todos los lugares cercanos y hay unas preciosas vistas de toda la costa.
The town is completely white, its streets are full of light.
Its viewpoint shows us impressive views of all the nearby places and there are beautiful views of the whole coast.
Pasear por sus calles es relajante y muy bohemio. Ahora en estas fechas da gusto pasear y visitar todos sus rincones de interés que son muchos, en verano el pueblo cuadruplica su población y como os podéis imaginar el ambiente es muy distinto.
Noches que fiestas y ambiente juvenil por todos sitios. Muy divertido y alegre.
Ahora el pueblo desprende su esencia y puedes disfrutar de quedarte a pasar una noche en el sin tener reserva de tres meses de antelación 😅
Strolling through its streets is relaxing and very bohemian. Now at this time of the year it is a pleasure to stroll around and visit all the places of interest, of which there are many, in summer the town quadruples its population and as you can imagine the atmosphere is very different*.
Nights with parties and a youthful atmosphere everywhere. Very fun and cheerful.
Now the town has its essence and you can enjoy spending a night in it without having to book three months in advance 😅
El arco de Vejer es uno de los lugares más capturados del pueblo. Uno de los lugares preferidos por todos los visitantes para realizar fotografías.
Como se muestra en mis fotografías es una lugar precioso y el arco hace de ventana a las vistas del pueblo.
The arch of Vejer is one of the most captured places in town. One of the favourite places for all visitors to take photographs.
As shown in my photographs it is a beautiful place and the arch is a window to the views of the town.
El azul del cielo y el contraste del blanco y las tejas me parece algo cautivador. No he parado de realizar capturas desde que salí del coche.
I find the blue of the sky and the contrast of the white and the tiles captivating. I haven't stopped taking pictures since I got out of the car.
Os aconsejo que si vais en coche, aparquéis en el parking situado en el mirador, ya que desde que sales del coche estas en uno de sus lugares de interés y además de ello, las cuestas son muy llevaderas desde arriba. Las otras zonas de aparcar del pueblo están situadas en cotas más bajas y eso supone una caminata cuesta arriba y hay que tener en cuenta que la visita al pueblo es todo a pie si quieres verlo en su esencia.
I recommend that if you go by car, you park in the car park located at the viewpoint, as from the moment you get out of the car you are in one of its places of interest and besides, the slopes are very bearable from above. The other parking areas in the village are located at lower altitudes and that means a hike uphill and you have to bear in mind that the visit to the village is all on foot if you want to see it in its essence.
Una de las figuras más populares en Vejer es la Cobijada. Una figura que recuerda a las mujeres que en tiempos pasados se cubrían totalmente con tejidos de color negro o gris oscuro y solo se les veía una zona del rostro para poder ver. Sin duda nos recuerda a otras indumentarias que visten mujeres de otros pauses árabes hoy día aún.
One of the most popular figures in Vejer is the Cobijada. A figure reminiscent of the women who in times gone by used to cover themselves completely with black or dark grey fabrics and only part of their faces were visible so that they could see. Without a doubt, it reminds us of other costumes worn by women in other Arab countries even today.
Vejer es un destino perfecto para disfrutar de unas vacaciones ya que tiene playas paradisiacas, lugares de interés cultural y una gastronomía que te hará disfrutar de cada comida.😉
