Location:
El Salvador City is one of the Place found in the Province of Misamis Oriental. It is already near at Cagayan De Oro and from Barangay Poblacion Manticao, it needs to travel for a few hours depends on how crowded and traffic the road is. The travel fair is 250 Pesos back and forth and we can reach this place by riding a public passenger vehicles like buses, Jeepneys, Motorcycles and Private Cars. Divine mercy shrine is located at the mountainous places of El Salvador City and from National Highway, it needs to travel by walk or riding on a motorcycles for a few minutes before we reach the place.
Short History of the Place:
This place was once a mountainous place were raising animals like cows can only be seen, until a priest have a dream about a big star rising on the top of this Mountain. After that, He also dream about fountain of water flowed down in this mountain and that is why they decided to built this tall and majestic Divine Mercy Shrine standing facing towards the sea.
This is the main entrance of the Shrine were fountain of water can be seen. It is built with solid concrete planted with many different kinds of ornamental plants and flowers. It has a metal pieces that serves as a fence so that children cannot go closer to the water fountain. It flows everyday and the ground is filled with concrete and bricks to make it attractive and easily to walk in the place without getting dusty or muddy. There are also lots of fish inside of the fountain and everyone will enjoyed watching the fish swimming at in the water.
People who wants to visit this place should wear long clothes just like dress and pants. Wearing shorts is not really allowed inside of the Shrine. Everyday, there are thousands of people visiting this place together with their families and friends. The landscape is truly beautiful planted and decorated with many different kinds of flowers and ornamental plants. There are lots of concrete stairs and a metal poles as a handle to all visitors who went down using those stairs. Each side of the stairs is decorated with this short concrete walls adorned with many kinds of peebles and stones, it is very attractive because of its colors, shapes and sizes.
Inside of the shrine also have a souvenir items and a concrete benches built so that the visitors will have a perfect place to rest for a minute or an hour. The shrine is surrounded with metal fences painted with black and golden colors to make it really more attractive, outside of the place is the parking lot and street stores that sells different kinds of snacks and foods for the visitors.
Near at Divine Mercy Shrine is the The church and it is built last year. The shape of the church rooftop is round and adorned with thorns symbolizes as a crown. Inside of the church is this shinny floors because of the tiles on it and an attractive paints on walls and floors. Lots of wooden chairs coated with mahogany varnish to make it shinny and glossy and a great wart walls and art ceilings inside of the church. Approximately, there are 800 people can come inside of the church and equiped with 20 Aircons inside of the place.
At the top of some parts of the ceilings is this big round shape covered with golden plastic cellophane. It keeps the place shine if it directly hit from the Sunlight, it also gives the place an attractive views and sceneries because of this big round shape built at the ceilings. El Salvador have this wonderful and perfect place to visit, a place full of wonderful views and a paradisiacal areas that people will really love the most.
