You learn something new everyday, therein lies the problem as in the words of the greatest philosopher that ever lived remarked.
"Every time I learn something new it pushes some old stuff out of my brain."

Happening upon this group of students and finding a few with exceptionally great english I learnt about something I never knew existed. Be honest now, did you know about 21st February? No I thought not. Well get ready for some old stuff to drop out as I mansplain.
21st February 1952 was a dark and sad day in the history of Bangladesh, which at the time following partition was known as East Pakistan. On that momentous day a number of students were protesting in Dhaka for the right to speak their mother bangla tongue as opposed to the state enforced Urdu. The Police opened fire and a number of students were murdered by the gunfire.
The movement gathered momentum eventually leading to independence and the birth of Bangladesh
That day is commemorated in Bangladesh as The Great Martyr's Day in honour of those that were murdered by the state in the struggle for freedom and independence. In 1999 along popped the great global quango unesco and hijacked it for itself as 'international mother language day."
But I am positive these lovely happy people care more about their own culture and history than the agenda of a bunch of anonymous suits.
