The clouds have cleared as quickly as they appeared, the plan was to walk back down to the town, along a country road.
I left my ladies to it and took the taxi back down, walking is not my thing if there is bugger all to see.
Here is a cow, an interesting cow, correctly using the pedestrian pavement. The town is a bit of a backwater, with nothing really of outstanding interest.
Who cares? I certainly don't I am seeing places and things that I didn't even know existed
Here is a dog, a friendly dog who didn't try to bite me when I petted him.
Apparently in Soviet times this building was a base station for a cable car service extending to the Trinity Church located on the top of the mountain across the village. Long dismantled and abandoned.
The mural "Twin towers" was created and signed by David Paul Kay. https://davidpaulkay.com/home
The town mainly caters for hikers in the summer and skiers during the winter.
A gorgeous setting in the mountains, the majestic Mount Kazbek, that sits near the Russian border.
I wandered in to the post office, for no reason other than to get some stamps and postcards, there were neither postcards nor stamps, it was empty.
Before the days of the mobile phone one could pop in here and use the intercity telephone.
Shops and services that have seen better days. 20 years ago it was just a little village, I think it still is
NOW I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT!!!!
Sadly for me, I had no time to go in and eat. My stroll had taken a couple of hours, I should have come here first. To me this is the beauty of Wanderlust, get off the beaten track see things very few people see and try the local cuisine.
I saw some dead trucks
I saw some dead people.
My time here is done, I must regroup with my ladies.
