Here's a photo taken on New Years Day, walking along Putsborough Beach, towards Woolacombe. It was a beautiful, mild afternoon, the beach was full of people taking their first steps into the new year. I was surprised by how busy it was, hundreds of people taking in the sea air.
There were people in bathing costumes, enjoying the very cold water like it was summer, the sea was full of surfers and body boarders enjoying the wave, dogs were running everywhere, enjoying the receding sands before the tide came in.
I like to think this image captures the end of year moment, and the start of new beginnings, with families, couples, and there friends and pets all taking their first steps towards a bright future in 2022. Happy New Year to you all!
