#KeepExploring! Ep 3. Kenepa Grandi, Curaçao
Welcome to the third edition of #KeepExploring!
In these posts I'll take you to a couple of spots that you definitely need to see on the island. It's also THE series that gives me the freedom to just explore, just get out the (with a camera) and explore.
I genuinely get more energy from seeing new places so I'm hoping that translates to interesting posts.
Kenepa Grandi (Grote Knip) is my favorite beach on the island! For this edition I felt I could take you along for a little bit of nature trip instead of staying in the city.
Curaçao has a lot of beaches but most of the natural ones are on the west side of the island. The whole are is called "Bandabou" (which roughly translated to lower side) and its about a 30m to 1h drive to get there, depending on where you live ofcourse.
It's know to have a much slower pace and an pretty layed back vibe. There are old houses, some farms, churches and a lot of nature in this area.
Generally people use the weekend to visit or to go to the beach and you even have vacation homes.
But back to Kenepa Grandi... It's a public beach so everyone is allowed.
I recently posted a story in the weekend engagement group where I found this new bench that overlooked the beach here: @gvkanten/picturethisyougotupat4-njyf6lkwtoarpwkqo1rtrxbnefotc2jk
It's also in my humble opinion in the top 3 in terms of beautiful beaches that Curaçao has to offer. I've been coming since my childhood days and since I found my love for photography, I've been returning whenever I can.
It's has some of the best sunsets!!!
And now time to let the pictures do the talking!
.
Hope you enjoyed! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Cheers,
Gyanno
