Hello to all the travelers of this wonderful community ! How are your travels? I hope you are safe and well together with your family and loved ones. I also hope you are able to accomplish all that you have set to do for this day.
In my twenty eight years of existence, I have not thought of visiting a place that will be full of dolls. But today, I will share to you a special travel experience I had in Mangagoy, Bislig City in the province of Surigao del Sur here in the Philippines.
It has been almost a month since my visit in Mangagoy, Bislig City Surigao del Sur. That was one planned visit. I have set that day to visit that place. It is part of the Ocean View Park I have visited which I have already made a post in this community.
The doll house is painted with a pink interior and exterior. It was not that big. It was just like a room of an actor or actress filled with their bag and shoe collections. Well may be that's too much of a comparison. The room might be actually smaller compared to those collection rooms of celebrities. But the place is just enough to accommodate the doll collection of the owner.
I just want to share also that this place is actually owned by a swiss national who married a Filipina native to this place in Surigao del Sur. Back to the doll house, when we arrived at the doll house, the care taker welcomed us as the owners were not living there. Outside the doll house there were paintings. The biggest was that of the vibrant Sakura blooms. May be the owner already went to Japan and wanted to keep the memory through this painting.
We went inside the room where the doll collections were situated. There with lots of dolls. There were more than hundreds of dolls in there! The dolls were categorized according to continents. There were Europeans, Asians, and Africans. There those specifically from the country of Bulgaria.
I was amazed by the number of dolls there. There were already the size of a 2 year old child. In fact I had a goosebumps looking at the dolls and knowing I'm surrounded by dolls. I remembered those movies where dolls were portrayed as having evil spirits, haha.
The dolls were really varied and represents different cultures of the world. There even dolls with names on it. There was a collection of Barbies from the movie Barbie.
All though it's a doll house there were other things displayed there. There were collection of robots. Small and big robot toys.
There was also a room were Lego houses were displayed. It's so colorful and beautiful. There were also figurines of angels. I almost forgot the section of clowns and stuffed toys. If I have brought my daughter with me, I'm sure she'll be so happy to visit this place. Probably we will also have a hard time going home because she might want to bring even just one doll which is so impossible to happen, haha.
The big chandelier also gave light to the house. It's put in the middle of the room. Perfect to illuminate it's light to the doll house.
There was also some dolls from book and movie characters like the nut cracker and barbie. What also added to the beauty of the doll house were the famous land marks of the world like the London Bridge. There were two castles from the Bulgarian and European dolls but I'm not sure as to the exact castle it was portraying.
I really enjoyed our short tour to this wonderful place. May be next time if I come back here I can bring with me my daughter, Yashfeen. For sure she'll be the happiest if she comes and see this amazing place.
That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
