Hello friends, today I am going to talk to you about the most beautiful destination that my eyes have seen. It is here, in my country. I'm talking about the Salinas Grandes, on the border between the province of Salta and Jujuy.

hola amigos hoy voy a hablarles sobre el destino mas hermoso que han visto mis ojos. Se encuentra aquí, en mi pais. Estoy hablando de las Salinas Grandes, en el límite entre la provincia de Salta y Jujuy.

In 2014 I traveled with my parents to the north of the country where we had never arrived before, we traveled with our vehicle and that gives us the freedom to visit several destinations in the same day. We left very early in the morning because we were staying in the center of Salta and Las Salinas are four hours from there

En el año 2014 viajé con mis padres al norte del pais dónde nunca antes habíamos llegado, nosotros viajamos con nuestro vehículo y eso nos da la libertad de poder conocer varios destinos en un mismo dia. Salimos muy temprano en la mañana porque estábamos hospedados en el centro de Salta y Las Salinas se encuentran a cuatro horas de allí

The salt flats are what was left of a highly salty and alkaline lake that evaporated over the course of the year, leaving a white and salty earth. To enter the lake you do not have to pay entrance, it is free to the public but you have guards who take care that no one steals part of the salt blocks and that they also do not vandalize and dirty

Las salinas son lo que quedó de un lago altamente salado y alcalino que con el paso del año se evaporó dejando una tierra blanca y salada. Para ingresar al lago no hay que abonar entrada, es libre al público pero si tiene vigilantes que cuidan que nadie se robe parte de los bloques de sal y que además no vandalicen y ensucien

Inside the lake there are some pools where the salt is extracted in blocks and it is used for construction and commercialization. Of course I tried some of the water out of curiosity and of course it was disgusting haha ​​too much salt! I had to drink a whole bottle of water to rehydrate.

Dentro del lago hay unas piletas donde se extrae la sal en bloques y ésta se utiliza para construcción y comercialización. Por supuesto que probé un poco del agua por pura curiosidad y por supuesto que era un asco jaja demasiada sal! tuve que tomar toda una botella de agua para rehidratarme.

Many parts of the lake still contain a little water but another is totally dry and salt flies everywhere, both the water and our clothes turned white.

Muchas partes del lago aun contienen un poco de agua pero otra está totalmente seca y vuela sal por todos lados, tanto el agua como nuestra ropa acabó blanca.

With the bricks they extracted they made a couple of establishments where they offer tourist aid and food. Outside there was a salt alpaca that wanted to take me home because of how cute it was.

Con los ladrillos que extrajeron hicieron un par de establecimientos dónde ofrecen ayuda turística y alimentos. Fuera habia una alpaca de sal que queria llevarme a casa de lo cute que era.

And from here on I am going to leave a home photo session that my mother did so that you can see how incredible the landscape is. The day was a bit cloudy with sun, so the much desired mirror was achieved. The way it looks in the photos is how it looks in real life, you are literally in heaven. The environment is very bright and also with the salt flying your eyes cry a lot so I recommend wearing glasses.

y a partir de aquí voy a dejar una sesion de fotos casera que hizo mi madre para que vean lo increíble del paisaje. El dia estaba un poco nublado con sol, así que se logró el tan deseado espejo. Asi como se ve en las fotos es como se ve en la vida real, estás literalmente en el cielo. El ambiente es muy brillante y ademas con la sal volando tus ojos lloran mucho asi que recomiendo usar lentes.

I plan to visit this destination soon, if the restrictions of the pandemic allow me, I will be going in about two months. It is a place that I would never tire of going to, it is really exciting that something like this exists and that it is also in Argentina. I recommend everyone to know this place sometime in their life. We also have other salt flats, which are the largest in the world, in Latin America, they are located in Uyuni-Bolivia. It is another destination that I plan to meet at some point in my life.

Planeo visitar éste destino pronto, si las restricciones de la pandemia me lo permiten estaré yendo en aproximadamente dos meses. Es un lugar al que no me cansaría de ir jamas, es realmente emocionante que algo así exista y que encima se encuentre en Argentina. Recomiendo a todos conocer alguna vez en la vida éste lugar. También contamos con otras salinas, que son las más grandes del mundo, en Latinoamérica, se encuentran en Uyuni- Bolivia. Es otro destino que planeo conocer en algún momento de mi vida.
