Today I'm here to talk about Day 2 of my European tour.
In my previous article, I mentioned Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Bugün Avrupa turumun 2. Gününden bahsetmek üzere buradayım.
Bir önceki yazımda Bulgaristan’ın başkenti Sofya’dan bahsetmiştim.

We spent the second day of the tour in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia.
After relieving the tiredness of the first day and having breakfast at the hotel where we stayed, we set off.
We came to explore the city of Skopje.
Turun ikinci gününü Makedonya'nın başkenti Üsküp'te geçirdik.
İlk günün yorgunluğunu atıp kaldığımız otelde kahvaltı yaptıktan sonra yola çıktık.
Üsküp şehrini keşfetmeye geldik.
This is a small country and they have their own language.
The official language of the country is Macedonian.
But I came across that some tradesmen could speak Turkish.
Since I came to visit from Turkey, I didn't feel like a stranger at all.
Burası küçük bir ülke ve kendilerine ait dilleri varmış.
Ülkenin resmi dili Makedoncaymış.
Ama ben bazı esnafların Türkçe dilini konuşabildiklerine rastladım.
Türkiye’den ziyarete geldiğim için hiç yabancılık çekmedim.
First, we came across the Macedonian Gate, which is the entrance symbol of Macedonia.
I couldn't help but take a photo here.
İlk olarak Makedonya’nın giriş simgesi olan Makedonya kapısına rastladık.
Burada bir fotoğraf çekmesem olmazdı.
Then we were greeted by a city divided into two by the Vardar river.
And of course, we came across the Skopje bridge, one of the symbols of the city.
Although the construction of this bridge dates back to ancient times, it was very impressive that it was still alive.
After taking lots of photos here, we continue on our way.
Ardından Vardar nehri dolayısıyla ikiye ayrılan bir şehir bizi karşıladı.
Ve tabi yine şehrin simgelerinden biri olan Üsküp köprüsü ile karşılaştık.
Bu köprünün yapımı çok eskilere dayanmasına rağmen hala dipdiri karşımızda oluşu çok etkileyiciydi.
Burada bolca fotoğraf çekindikten sonra yola devam ediyoruz.
The weather was sunny and clear.
Despite the heat, we continued exploring and walked through the colorful bazaars of Skopje.
We visited the shops selling souvenirs and met our needs.
Then we went to a restaurant to try Macedonian meatballs.
The meatballs of this place are famous.
Juicy finger-shaped meatballs were really delicious.
Hava güneşli ve açıktı.
Sıcağa rağmen keşfe devam ettik ve Üsküp’ün renkli çarşılarında yürüdük.
Hediyelik eşya satan dükkânları gezdik ve ihtiyaçlarımızı karşıladık.
Ardından Makedon köftesini denemek üzere bir restorana gittik.
Buranın köftesi meşhurmuş.
Parmak şeklindeki sulu köfteler gerçekten çok lezzetliydi.
After filling our stomachs, we continued walking.
It is possible to find statues everywhere here.
I must say that Skopje is already known as the city of statues.
This was a real city of art.
Karnımızı doyurduktan sonra gezmeye devam ettik.
Burada her yerde heykellere rastlamak mümkündür.
Zaten Üsküp heykeller şehri olarak anıldığını söylemeliyim.
Burası tam bir sanat şehriydi.
The most important of these statues is the Statue of Alexander the Great.
Apart from this, we come across many statues in the center of the city.
Bu heykellerden en önemlisi Büyük İskender Heykelidir.
Bunun dışında şehrin merkezinde birçok heykele rastlıyoruz.
Then we came across a church located in the central point.
We wanted to enter because we were curious.
Ardından merkezi noktada bulunan bir kiliseye rastladık.
Merak ettiğimiz için girmek istedik.
Since our time was limited, we did not have the opportunity to go to Skopje Castle.
At the same time, I could not visit the museum.
Who knows, maybe I'll pass by again and examine these points.
Vaktimiz sınırlı olduğu için Üsküp kalesine çıkma fırsatımız olmadı.
Aynı zamanda müzeyi de ziyaret edemedim.
Kim bilir belki yolum tekrar düşer ve bu noktaları incelerim.
Even though we had little time, I think we spent this time to the fullest with my friends.
I really enjoyed seeing the historical and cultural structure of Skopje closely.
I think visiting here adds meaning to our tour.
Vaktimiz az olsa dahi arkadaşlarımla beraber bu vakti dopdolu geçirdiğimizi düşünüyorum.
Üsküp’ün tarihi ve kültürel yapısını yakından görmek çok hoşuma gitti.
Burayı ziyaret etmenin turumuza anlam kattığını düşünüyorum.
This is how our Skopje trip ended.
We continued our tour and set off towards our next stop, Budapest.
Üsküp gezimizde böylece bitmiş oldu.
Turumuza devam edip bir sonraki durağımız olan Budapeşte’ye doğru yola koyulduk.
