This is when I used to work for Nokia Mobiles. The data of the sales department was not selling, my boss was scolding me. After working 16 hours every day for two months, I was sad. And not only this, neither Saturday nor Sunday. The condition of our team was bad, I just didn't feel like doing anything good. Everyone was thinking of leaving the job. One day at lunch time everyone decided that all this could not be tolerated any longer. And in the evening we put the regiine of all 4 people. Everyone went to their homes by emailing. We were on our way when we started getting continuous calls from the office asking how dare you send such an email without asking.
Auli the place of high mountains
I blocked my boss's number and said the same to my friends, everyone eat food and now let's see tomorrow whether our design is accepted or not. The next day we all reach the office where everyone is called in the conference room and a meeting is held, where we all tell our problems, listening to which the director of the company says that if your working hours are reduced and one holiday is given in a week. If he goes, would you still like to go?
Chamuli market where we had lunch
This is what we all wanted, and we accept the director's point of view. Then I jump in and announce that we all want to go for a trip to the mountains for which we need 5 days leave. The iron was hot and I struck with the hammer without thinking of the consequences. But the target was hit right and the director agreed to our demand and thus this trip was born.
Where we had accomodation
My companions had no idea where to go but I did. We all will go for a trip to Auli. I have already answered everyone's questions, Auli is in Uttarakhand, we will stay there for two days, one day to go, two days to come and visit there and one day's rest which we will do at our home. From here we all will go by bus till Haridwar from where we will take bus to Joshimath. Delhi to Haridwar is 6 hours journey and Haridwar to Joshimath is 12 hours journey. From Joshimath, we will go for Auli sightseeing and will come back and stay in Joshimath in a cheap hotel. Everyone liked the plan and the next day everyone meets at the bus stand with their own gardens.
The high peaks seen from Auli
It is the month of May and the Himalayan snow is melting, so there is plenty of water in the rivers. We take a bus at 8 in the morning which drops us at Haridwar at 2:30. We have lunch near the bus stand and after taking information about the bus to Joshimath, take the next bus. It is a long journey, everything was fine till Devprayag, but as soon as we go beyond that, one of our companions, whose name is Manish, gets nauseous. His vomiting is so much that he keeps on vomiting from Devprayag to Chamoli. He is looking sick and says that I do not want to go anywhere, drop me here.
We don't listen to him and move on. We get down to Joshimath late at night, take a cheap room near the bus stand. Next morning everyone is ready to take a bath and visit Auli. Today Manish is fine, he had motion sickness on the mountain roads due to which he vomited. From here we take a sharing taxi which takes us to Auli. In half an hour we reach Auli where the air is very cold and the parking lot is full of vehicles.
The mystic view
Everyone except me is seeing the snow covered mountains for the first time, everyone is overwhelmed and amazed. Auli is at an altitude of 3050 m and offers a view of some very beautiful mountains such as the Queen of Hills Nanda Devi (7816 m), Mount Kamet (7756 m) and Dunagiri (7066 m). I saw such a clear view of Nanda Devi for the first time and I became crazy. Since then Nanda Devi mountain has become my favourite. Even today, many times I go out alone just to see this mountain.
Parking of Auli
There is a ropeway in Auli which takes us up to Auli, by paying Rs 400 per person we go for a ride through the ropeway. Everyone is riding in the ropeway for the first time. The snow covered mountains flying in the air seemed as if touched by hand. Everyone was very happy, seeing them I am thinking that going back everyone works like a donkey in the office. But you will worry about the office after going to the office, at least have fun.
Nanda devi extereme left
We get down from the ropeway and go to the snow on foot, the pleasure of touching the snow is different. We all are making balls of ice and throwing them at each other, and when the cold cold ice is going inside the jacket, then the whole body is yearning for fish. After this, we find a piece of wood nearby on which we are sliding on the ice. This is called more fun for less money.
My favorite mountain peak
Everyone is hungry after spending almost 3 hours in the snow, so now they are going back. Sitting in the ropeway, we come down from where we take our taxi and come back to Joshimath where we go to the hotel and have lunch. After lunch everyone goes to the room and rests. Next morning we visit Joshimath, there are some ancient temples where we visit.
The meadows wehre we had fun with snow
Next morning we start our return journey by taking a bus to Haridwar. In Haridwar we take bath in river Ganges and come back to Delhi in next six hours. So this was our unique journey in which we escape from office work and go to the mountains to relax and refresh ourselves.
