Pausing the Manali-Leh series for a day, I shared my thoughts about hives, yesterday I was in the mood so I wrote about how I am stuck on hives and would check the hives before sleeping at night and as soon as I wake up in the morning. am. Let's talk about this series, maybe the one who is following this series from the beginning may be a little bored seeing the same landscapes, so in today's post we will talk about the flowers and animals present on the Manali-Leh highway. So let's go on the Trans Himalayan road which is more than 5000 meters high.
I was sitting in front of a restaurant in Moore Plains and drinking tea, a Tibetan mastiffs dog was sitting in front of me. He was so calm that after seeing him I started thinking that if there were monks among dogs then this dog would definitely be a monk. I know that dogs cannot speak human language, yet when I asked him his name, he turned towards me as if to say that Monk has no name. After some time, an unknown dog came there and the monk dog suddenly turned off the meditation mode and went and caught the other dog. Both of them fought very dangerously, the owner of the restaurant got them freed otherwise the dog Monk would have killed the other dog. After being victorious in the fight, the monk dog returned to his place and sat down again and the meditation mode was switched on again.
When I leave from here, I see that the other dog is at a short distance and is going back to its territory. Hearing the sound of my feet, he looks towards me, I pass him a smile which he takes and goes away. For once I felt as if he was complaining why can't I come here?
When I stopped in Debring, I saw a goat lamb standing in front of a restaurant, this brown colored lamb looked like a teddy bear. When his long silky hair fell on his eyes, it seemed as if he was a prince. Looking at the photos, you will also say 'awwwwwww'.
Then I saw a herd of sheep in which a separate sheep was eating grass with her baby. Small horns have grown on the lamb's head and he is growing his hair long for the winter so that he does not feel cold in -30 degrees. Another sheep was running behind the mother and son, looking at her it felt as if someone had got hold of her phone...hahaha.
There is no one like mother, the temperature was zero and the air was very cold. We were not even able to stand in such cold while a yak was feeding her milk to her calf. I became a little emotional after seeing this and started wondering what happens inside a woman that makes her so strong. In the next photo you can see a herd of sheep and goats who have come to the lake shore to drink water even in the storm.
When sheep and goats give birth to lambs, shepherds tie them to donkeys to protect them from wild animals. On this side, these lambs travel up to 200 km and make themselves strong by drinking their mother's milk in the morning and evening. Blue sheep have to take a lot of risk to come down from the mountain to the river to drink water. Risking her life, she comes down and runs away to the mountain at the slightest sound. Himalayan Blue Sheep are found in high mountains and can survive even in -40 degree temperatures.
The next eleven photos are of local wild flowers of Ladakh. I don't know the names of any of these flowers but I know only one thing that all the flowers have made me their friends. Their colors look so beautiful like a rainbow in the sky. Ladakh is at such a height, on top of that, it is very cold here, hence there is very little vegetation here and the size of what is there is very small, you can see in the photos that the size of all the flowers is not very big.
And finally I leave you with Himalayan birds, whose beauty will fascinate you. I hope you liked this post. Stay healthy and be happy. See you in the next post.
