Hello, world travelers, friends, and community. Recently, we traveled from India to Norway, experiencing a new journey with Oman Airlines. We flew from GOX Manohar International Airport in North Goa to MCT Muscat International Airport, where we were supposed to catch a connecting flight to Europe.
We didn't expect this journey to be very relaxed and hassle-free. Previously, when we traveled from North to South, we had a tiring 10-hour wait at Munich Airport, which was confusing due to its vast size and the winter weather.
Our return flight was from North Goa, which has a small airport that opened at the end of 2022 and began operations on January 5, 2023. Although it's smaller in size, it operates over 100 airlines. The airport is named after the former Minister of Defence and Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar. It is nicely situated in a quiet area called Mopa.
Our journey started from home early in the morning at 6 o'clock. The airport was close to our location, the roads were comfortable, and the early morning was peaceful, allowing us to arrive there in just half an hour.
The airport wasn't very crowded, but some families traveling with a lot of baggage and several family members/Groups blocked the check-in counters. In the end, the workers hurried the process, so I couldn't get much time to take many photos of the airport. However, I believe this airport will become a much nicer place, offering good service to passengers.
