It's amazing to think that even you no longer are part of a company and you still get reconnected with them. I guess that's what you call workmates turned to real life friends.
Back Story
Over the past weekend, I went into an excursion with my ex-colleagues. Since I'm no longer part of my ex-company, I have no idea about this trip's planning so I was just asking some details days before the actual date.
Months ago, we actually had a team outing just within the city. It was a grandiose house for an exclusive staycation. I think the team prefers exclusivity so that everyone could unwind and enjoy the company without any external distractions. So I was expecting that this time is going to be an another exclusive staycation. And I was correct hahaha!
Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm
As shared by Cham, ex-colleague and an awesome friend, they were suppose to book another accommodation somewhere north of Cebu. However as just they were about to pay for the downpayment, they found Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm. This accommodation is located in Can-asujan, Carcar City.
Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm is a vacation house for rental. I believe it fits more than 15 person. It has 3 spacious rooms that could accommodate 4-5 people each. Since we were only 9 during our stay, we only availed 2 rooms. It is a laid back vacation house with a pool with a beautiful overlooking view. To me, it's a perfect place for team's bonding away from the hustling crowd of the city.
Going There
There are multiple options going there. You may take a bus from Cebu City to Carcar City. You can drop off at Gaisano and perhaps ride a motorcycle taxi. On the other hand, you may also bring your own car and you can pin the location on the maps. It'll navigate you directly to the vacation house.
The ride going there could be fun. For first few minutes, it'll be a normal ride where the road is paved and cemented. However, as your elevation goes higher, the road starts to get rough and steep. Good thing Anne is a great driver so she maneuvered her car easily. After less than 30 minutes from Carcar's poblacion, we finally reached Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm with awe on our faces.
Exploring Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm
We were in awe as we entered Olimipia Mountain Villa and Farm. The house is really spacious. Perhaps you can play a lot of games around and have the best days of your life. They also have a lot amenities for a vacation house.
Living Room
Look at how spacious their living area is! They have a minimalist approach in their interior design. With no walls dividing the area, you can easily see from end to end of the house. It is is also surrounded with glass panels which adds a great visual illusion of having a big space.
They do have comfortable couches, bean bags, chairs and table. They also provided a speaker (that we had trouble connecting and using because it's NFC type HAHAHA). Nevertheless, the living room was enough for us to socialize and dance a lot HAHAHA!
The Pool
Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm offers a wide 4-feet pool. What I like about it is that the pool is not too chlorinated which proves why my eyes didn't hurt when I opened it underwater. It's wide that we had fun swimming and diving from end-to-end.
At night, the pool illuminates with different colors which adds a party ambiance.
Kitchen
Every vacation house surely has a kitchen. Their kitchen has a 2-stove gas range, a fridge, a water dispenser, a sink (of course), dining table, utensils, and kitchen. However, the kitchen is not part of the house but instead, it's just beside it.
Oh, you will have to buy drinking water for P50 per gallon if you need one. They also have soda and beer available for purchase.
Some of the Rooms
As mentioned earlier, we only booked 2 rooms since we were just few. One of the room is within the house, while the other is below the pool. Yes, below the pool.
The girls took the room within the house which they have an upfront view of the pool and the mountains. While the boys took the room under the pool with the view of the farm.
What I like about it is that their AC is working HAHA so it has the capacity to cool the entire room all day.
There is a 3rd room which I didn't had the chance to check because I was busy flying my drone while the guys checked it out. So I didn't have a photo of it, but they said it has a classy bathroom LOL. I guess I need to go back just to check it out LOL!
Overall, Olimpia Mountain Villa and Farm is a great place for team bonding and staycation. It has enough space for fun activities, it has a great pool, almost complete amenities, friendly caretakers, and cute dogs! I just wish they had an AC on the living room because 3 fans are not enough for me HAHA!
Oh, I almost forgot! We paid P11,800 for the entire staycation good for 9 people. Not bad, right?
You can check their Facebook page for inquiries and reservation.
Bonus Tip when going to Carcar City
Whenever you visit or pass by Carcar City, please drop by at Lokal Brew coffee shop. They have the best coffee in town and I even brought their beans which smells so good! Also, please don't miss eating their lechon in the market. It's so appetizing! nom nom!
