Hello, travelers of the 
Today I have the pleasure of inviting you to the fourth edition of the event "Dancing at Home"—an artistic dance marathon featuring the unprecedented participation of several Cuban children's dance companies. Additionally, I will be presenting my solo exhibition "Landscapes" at the Raúl Martínez Gallery in the city of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a la cuarta edición del evento "Danzar en Casa", un maratón danzario artístico con la participación inédita de varias compañías infantiles cubanas. Además, les presentaré la exposición personal "Paisajes" en la galería Raúl Martínez, en la ciudad de Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. Espero que les gusten las obras y disfruten cada uno de estos diseños paisajísticos.

When I left my home, on my way to the art gallery and the dance event, I took some photos of my neighborhood and the streets leading to the exhibition—all on a normal day, with people heading to work or home, old buildings, and a spectacular blue sky.
Upon arriving at the historic center, you could already breathe an expressive atmosphere and a gathering that included a floral offering to the statue of José Martí in the park.
Al salir de mi hogar, de camino a la galería de arte y el evento danzario, pues realice algunas tomas fotográficas de mi barrio y las calles para llegar a la exposición, todas de un día normal por el paso de personas hacia los trabajos o sus hogares, edificaciones antiguas y un cielo azul espectacular.
Llegando al centro histórico ya se respiraba un aroma expresivo y una cita que incluía una ofrenda floral a la estatua de José Martí en el parque.
The fourth edition of 'Dancing at Home' is an inclusive, diverse event open to cultural exchange, which has become a space where dance turns into a common language that unites cultures, generations, and forms of expression. It began this Monday in the province of Ciego de Ávila with an opening day full of symbolism, tributes, and vibrant artistic activity.
The people were happy with the show and the opening ceremony. A completely open and free interval, where popular, contemporary, and children's dances all come together.
La cuarta edición de 'Danzar en Casa', es un encuentro inclusivo, diverso y abierto al intercambio cultural que se ha consolidado como un espacio donde la danza se convierte en lenguaje común para unir culturas, generaciones y formas de expresión. Comenzó este lunes en la provincia avileña con una jornada inaugural cargada de simbolismo, homenajes y vibrante actividad artística.
El pueblo estaba contento con el espectáculo y ceremonia inicial. Un intervalo completamente abierto y gratuito, donde se mezclan danzas populares, contemporáneas e infantiles.
The first activity of the day was "Painting and Movement," which brought together the Polichinela companies, students from the Nola Sahing Sainz School of Art, Pasos y Estilo, the Tejiendo Sueños project, and Arab Dance, demonstrating that artistic creation knows no age when body and imagination join hands.
Many children took part in activities with the clowns, sparking laughter and emotions through a selfless and healing form of art.
La primera actividad del día fue 'Pintar y Movimiento', reunió a las compañías Polichinela, alumnos de la Escuela de Arte Nola Sahing Sainz, Pasos y Estilo, el proyecto Tejiendo Sueños y Danza Árabe, demostrando que la creación artística no entiende de edades cuando el cuerpo y la imaginación se toman de la mano.
Muchos niños participaban en actividades con los payasos, causando risas o emociones, por un arte desinteresado y sanador.
The central square awakens filled with joy; uniformed children, entire families, and street artists gather around the cultural performances. The energy of the event turns every corner into a living space—it is not just about watching shows, but about participating in a collective experience where art leaves the theaters and takes over the city.
The little ones presented their creative and imaginative works depicting mushrooms, martyrs, and some important viruses that we need to know about for the care of human health.
La plaza central amanece llena de alegría, niños uniformados, familias enteras y artistas callejeros que se reúnen alrededor de las presentaciones culturales.
La energía del evento convierte cada rincón en un espacio vivo; no se trata solo de observar espectáculos, sino de participar en una experiencia colectiva donde el arte sale de los teatros y ocupa la ciudad.Los más pequeños presentaron sus obras creativas e imaginativas de hongos, mártires y algunos virus importantes que debemos saber para el cuidado de la salud humana.
One of the most striking elements of the fair was the picturesque gallery set up on the Avilanian boulevard, where a solo exhibition titled "Landscapes" was presented. The paintings on display show calm seas, silent beaches, boats floating on turquoise waters, and natural corners full of serenity.
The exhibition you will see is made up of more than 17 landscapes and will remain on display throughout the month of May as part of the cultural activities in the province.
Uno de los elementos más llamativos de la feria fue la galería pintoresca instalada en el boulevar avileño, donde se presentó una exposición personal nombrada "Paisajes". Las pinturas exhibidas muestran mares tranquilos, playas silenciosas, embarcaciones flotando sobre aguas turquesas y rincones naturales llenos de serenidad.
La muestra que observarán está conformada por más de 17 paisajes y permanecerá expuesta todo el mes de mayo como parte de las actividades culturales en la provincia.
One spectator rose from in front of a painting and, upon seeing me, exclaimed, "How lovely, isn't it?" In her eyes there was that same depicted light—mixed emotions, joy, wonder. And that is the most genuine proof of how much a two-dimensional artistic expression, handmade and with the timeless smell of oil paint, can reach the people.
"My Landscapes," comprising works from 2024 and 2025, as well as some earlier pieces, is an exhibition of pictorial sagacity, of a taste for the emotive brushstroke, for the light that takes center stage in the Cuban countryside, and for water—the matrix of all Cuban identity—by the master artist Abel Denis.
Una expectadora se irguió de un cuadro y, al verme, exclamó, “qué lindo, ¿verdad?”. En sus ojos habia esa misma luz retratada, emociones encontradas, alegría, asombro. Y esa es la muestra más legítima de cuánto puede llegar al pueblo una manifestación artística bidimensional, hecha a mano y con el sempiterno olor a óleo.
"Mis paisajes", establecida con obras que recorren los años 2024 y 2025, y otros anteriores, son una exhibición de la sagacidad pictórica, del gusto por la pincelada emotiva, por la luz protagonista de los campos cubanos y por el agua, matriz de toda cubanidad, del maestro protagonista Abel Denis.
Faced with the landscape vision of marine life without human beings, one would think it a realm composed only of ships in use and others already decommissioned.
Sea, sand, rocks, some vegetation, and birds are the central characters of this work, and they speak so much of silence and natural sounds that humans are unnecessary to convey life.
Ante la visión paisajística de la vida marina sin seres humanos, a uno le pareciera un ámbito compuesto solo por barcos en uso y otros ya desestimados.
Mar, arena, rocas, alguna vegetación y aves, son los personajes centrales de esta obra y dicen tanto del silencio y los ruidos naturales, que son innecesarios los hombres para transmitir la vida.
Pleasant views filled with harmony, the creator expresses: the collection dedicated to Punta Alegre, where he shows La Piedra, and another coastal town, Punta San Juan, where he captures the most interesting aspects of nature.
Denis, an eternal enthusiast of landscape painting, presents a collection from an ecological perspective for the public's encounter with his work—portraits of the environment.
Agradables vistas preñadas de armonía expresa el creador: la colección dedicada a Punta Alegre donde muestra La Piedra, otro poblado costero Punta San Juan, donde capta lo más interesante de la naturaleza.
Denis, eterno aficionado al paisaje, entrega una colección desde una perspectiva ecológica para el encuentro del público con su obra, retratos del medio ambiente.
As the artist himself so well expresses it, every opening is an opportunity for dialogue. It doesn't matter that the works have already traveled a certain path; they will never grow old, they will never go out of style because they are snapshots of real life.
I saw that too, in the gaze of that woman when she finished looking at the paintings and released her most genuine emotion in words that resounded throughout the entire gallery.

Cómo bien lo expresa el artista, cada inauguración es una oportunidad de diálogo, no importa que las obras lleven cierto camino recorrido, nunca se pondrán viejas, nunca pasarán de moda porque son instantáneas de la vida real.
Eso vi, también en la mirada de aquella mujer cuando terminó de ver los cuadros y me soltó su emoción más genuina en palabras que retumbaron en toda la galería.
