In Old Havana, in the historic center of the city, is located a luxury hotel called Iberostar Selection Parque Central with a unique perspective of beautiful panoramic views, its colonial building and where you will travel back in time admiring the works of art that inhabit the interior tunnel that communicates with its second division in the building. Interesting, isn't it?
Well, I will also show you a brief tour of Simón Bolívar's house in Havana, with its Venezuelan traditions and culture. Join me in this wonderful adventure 😉!

¿Sabías qué? En la habana vieja en el mismo casco histórico de la ciudad, se encuentra ubicado un hotel de lujo llamado Iberostar Selection Parque Central con una perspectiva única de vistas panorámicas hermosas, su inmueble colonial y donde viajarás al tiempo admirando las obras de arte que habitan en el interior túnel que comunica con su segunda división en la edificación. Interesante, ¿verdad?
Pues además les enseñaré un breve recorrido por la casa de Simón Bolívar en La Habana, con sus tradiciones y culturas venezolanas. ¡Acompáñame en esta maravillosa aventura 😉!
To begin with the experience in the internal gallery, I will tell you that it is a beautiful hotel inside, exceeding the 5 stars in terms of customer service and decoration of the place.
The photographic exhibition is presented on the walls of the internal passage to the pools of the facility. Among all the pictures, the daily life of the Cuban on foot stands out.
Para empezar con la experiencia en la galería interna, pues les comentaré que es una belleza en hotel por dentro, sobrepasa las 5 estrellas en cuanto a atención al cliente y decoración del lugar.
La muestra fotográfica se presenta en las paredes del paso interno a las piscinas de la instalación. Entre todos los cuadros se destaca la vida cotidiana del cubano a pie.
The photo exhibition expresses the mission to promote and spread the reality of the island. When I saw that each photo was covered with a plastic cover, I knew right away that the shots from my iPhone would be more complicated. Imagine me, trying to avoid reflections and framing the photos well not easy 😄 but they came out better than I expected.
La exposición fotográfica expresa la misión de promover y divulgar la realidad de la isla. Cuando vi que cada foto estaba cubierta con una tapa de plástico, supe enseguida que las tomas desde mi iPhone serían más complicadas. Imagínate yo, intentando evitar reflejos y encuadrando bien las fotos nada fácil 😄 pero salieron mejor de lo que esperaba.
These artistic paintings depict individuals fishing, boats, coastal areas, even part of the Havana seawall and the Morro. It is a small promenade well decorated with its lights and elegant way of integrating art to the hotel environment.
Estos cuadros artísticos representan a individuos pescando, embarcaciones, zonas costeras, hasta parte del malecón habanero y el morro. Es un pequeño paseo bien adornado con sus luces y forma elegante de integrar arte al entorno hotelero.
This exhibition is not only the subway encounter between the two buildings, but also fulfills an aesthetic, documentary and cultural function of Havana life with authenticity.
Esta exhibición no solo es el encuentro subterráneo entre los dos edificios, sino que también cumple una función estética, documental y cultural de la vida habanera con autenticidad.
Finally, I will tell you that it is a great idea to preserve an internal gallery in the transitory part of the structure, with its illumination, its photographic works and local history.
As you can see, it is an extensive corridor of many images and Havana tradition.
Por último, les diré que es una pasada lo de preservar una galería interna en el pedazo transitorio de la estructura, con su iluminación, sus obras fotográficas y historia local.
Como pueden ver el un pasillo extenso de muchas imágenes y tradición habanera.
Next, during my visit to Old Havana, I also visited the famous house of Simón Bolívar. Located at No. 156 Mercaderes Street at the corner with Obrapía, right in front of the bronze statue of the Liberator of Latin America.
The neoclassical style building stands out for the harmony of the façade, the introduction of the mezzanine, the stained glass windows, the marble floors and the ironwork and carpentry of the Venezuelan nation.
A continuación, en la visita por la habana vieja también conocí la famosa casa de Simón Bolívar. Ubicado en el N0º 156 de la Calle Mercaderes a la altura de la esquina con Obrapía, justo enfrente de la estatua en bronce del Libertador de América Latina.
El inmueble de estilo neoclásico se destaca por la armonía de la fachada, la introducción del entresuelo, las lucetas de vidrios coloreados, el mármol de los pisos y los trabajos de herrerías y carpinterías de la nación Venezolana.
Going inside, I will tell you that the decoration and organization of the place is good. Among the rooms that impressed me the most are those of artistic ceramics with permanent exhibitions of awards in popular and traditional art.
According to the museologists of the place, the objects present are from the Margarita Islands with a delicate work, subsistent, of myths, beliefs and orality.
Adentrándonos, les diré que está bien la decoración y organización del lugar. Entre las salas que más me impresionaron, están las de cerámica artística con exposiciones permanentes de premios en arte popular y tradicional.
Según los museólogos del local, los objetos presentes son de Islas Margaritas con un trabajo delicado, subsistente, de mitos, creencias y oralidad.
Other works of great scope presented in the space are those of Glenda Mendoza, with her collection of polychrome clay pieces of symbolism and identity.
It is a set of approximately 35 pieces that narrate the life of the Liberator with great originality in her artwork.
Otras obras de gran alcance presentadas en el espacio, son las de Glenda Mendoza, con su colección de piezas en barro policromado de simbolismo y identidad.

In another format, we move on to the indigenous cultures, mainly of the Yanomami and Piaroa ethnic groups, two of the most representative native groups of the country.
Among the handcrafted objects exhibited are the baskets of loads, the Wapa, their dishes made with palm and vines.
En otro formato, pasamos a la culturas indígenas principalmente de los Etnias Yanomami y Piaroa, dos de los grupos originarios más representativos del país.
Entre los objetos artesanales que exponen están las cestas de cargas, los Wapa, sus platos hechos con palma y bejucos.
These people of the Piaroa jungle, according to the writings on the banners, were more dedicated to the development of religious instruments, rituals and masks (SARI WARIME).
Among other important objects of the Venezuelan Indian nation, there are the gatura baskets, mapire with handles, baskets and other cultural containers.

Everything here has an important value for intercultural education and preservation of the Venezuelan intangible heritage.
En todo el recorrido por el museo pude apreciar que a pesar de que esta población indígena no tener recursos suficientes, diseñaban sus obras bien finas y al detalle de cada pieza coleccionable.
Otra cultura Etnia es Arawak que también es representativo por su cestería de fibra chiquichiqui.
Todo aquí tiene un valor importante, para la educación intercultural y preservación del patrimonio intangible venezolano.
An attractive collection of hammocks from many countries of the continent is exhibited.
Se exhibe una atractiva colección de hamacas procedentes de numerosos países del continente.
In the final part, I took some photographs of sculptures and warships of the early nineteenth century, similar to those used during the liberation campaigns of the Caribbean and a replica of the ship of Simon Bolivar.
The creator of these super original models, with their sails, cannons and ropes, was really very detailed. Magnificent!
Ya en la parte final, realice algunas tomas fotográficas de esculturas y navíos de guerra de principios del siglo XlX, similar a aquellos utilizados durante las campañas libertadoras del Caribe y réplica de la embarcación de Simón Bolívar.
La verdad bien detallista el creador de estas maquetas, súper originales con sus velas, cañones y cuerdas. ¡Magnífico!
On all the walls of the place, you can see artistic paintings where the figure of Bolivar is present, both in the independence struggles, with his costume, on his horse.
A very nice donation to decorate the atmosphere of the house, dedicated in his honor by the historian of Havana.
En todas las paredes del local, se ven reflejados cuadros artísticos donde están presente la figura de Bolívar, tanto en las luchas independentistas, con su traje, en su caballo.
Una donación bien bonita para adornar el ambiente de la casa, dedicada en su honor por el historiador de la habana.
These last showcases contain the awarding of the key of illustrious visitor to the Bolivarian nation of Venezuela by the Mayor's Office of Caracas: Commander in Chief Raúl Castro Ruz. Also a replica of Simon Bolivar's sword.
Estas últimas vitrinas contienen el otorgamiento de la llave de visitante ilustre a la nación Bolivariana de Venezuela por la alcaldía de Caracas: Al Comandante en jefe Raúl Castro Ruz. Además una réplica de la espada de Simón Bolívar.
In conclusion, this adventure was fun, spectacular and interesting both in the photo gallery of the Parque Central Hotel and in the Simón Bolívar Museum, expressing the great variety of themes and forms of artistic expression that enrich the culture between the two countries.
