Hola travelers, adventurers, vagabonds, Hivers! It is a hump day (Wednesday) on my side of the world and it's quite breezy too.
Today, I opted to keep myself indoors and stay warm and while cleaning my files on my old portable disk, I came across a very ancient archive that brought me back to many years past, a side trip we had in Zoobic Safari, Subic Zambales.
It was an impromptu side trip way back in 2006 and we were there late afternoon. The park is huge but we were only able to see a small part of it. We first visited the "Croco Loco"
It was a pit of over a hundred crocs. Well, at least they were not hungry! To see what's in there, you have to walk through a steel walkway and view them down below.
As it was already late afternoon, the crocs were just lazing around because they have been well fed earlier in the day.
Yes, they were enjoying their peace and the tranquility of that afternoon.
Let's give this a wee story, shall we?
They are a family. The mom was trying to give her son some moral boost whilst he tried to hop onto his dad's back. The mom said, "Common son, you can do it! Just a little bit more..." as she patted her son's back :)
What of the other one?
Oh well, he is the grandpa, just enjoying his afternoon nap. LOL!
I just wished we fed some of them at that time but we didn't want to disturb their peace. Would you?
I guess not...
They were quite adorable though when they were just lounging like that, unmindful of the chatters of anyone around them. Although we were great visitors then because we weren't noisy.
We still had time so we roamed around to see some more. We just passed by the Forbidden Cave because it said "forbidden" so who would be allowed? LOL! We thought we'd go back afterward.
We also passed by the Animal Muzooeum and the Aeta's Trail thinking we would check them out later.
We went for a quick peek at the Serpentarium where we saw some cold-blooded but beautiful creatures.
This long guy was quite cautious. He just stared at us and didn't move an inch.
And his brother was shy. He quickly hid amongst the tree branches.
Wait! Who the hell placed their laundry down there! (LOL) This one is clever don't you think? I can't even see his head!
And this one too. They had a story that's why...
They were a couple and they had a petty fight and they were both feeling bad so they decided to not mind each other and their visitors too. (LOL)
We left them hoping they will patch things up and then went for a quick visit to the woods where we were greeted with a warm 'Hello' by this awesome feathered friend :)
Walking further, we were met by an unhappy momma. Then we realized it was already dark and she wanted the night for herself and not be bothered.
We bade goodbye and walked ahead when we bumped into this kinda scary but friendly lion and said he was sorry but it was already late and they have to rest. He told us to come back another day so after thanking him, we helped ourselves out.
We promised ourselves we will visit the park again but we never did. I hope one of these days, we will.
Thank you for joining me in our little adventure and I wish you a lovely day!
